We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is beautiful, as is the yard. The area is just completely peaceful. We really loved the large second floor deck. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent. There are two large family rooms, both with smart tvs. There were only two of us, but four people would still have tons of space. There is lots of good places to eat within 5 or less minutes away. You will not be disappointed if you stay here, and we plan on coming again.

What an excellent weekend. Everything you need is already at the house. The view and location are excellent. This is our second stay here and have enjoyed both and will be using again anytime we are in the area.

Great hosts

Great stay! Eileen and Larry could not have been more helpful and gracious. This is a super clean and comfortable 2-bedroom home. The Christian Hill neighborhood and Riverview Park next door were added super benefits. Would definitely recommend this VRBO any time.

This property is located in a beautiful scenic neighborhood. It's close enough to the City Center but very quiet. The host answered my questions promptly and was very courteous. We would stay here again!

We loved the location of this charming historical cottage with its proximity to the Riverview Park. Very charming renovation of a historical cottage with all the rooms updated to modern standards. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Alton.

Charm and scenic views of the river

Another great stay

My daughter and I once again enjoyed our stay. The house is a classic and felt like a home. We so enjoyed sitting on the porch at night staring out to the river below and hearing a bird and insect chorus every night. The hosts were, once again, more than accommodating.

A Little Gem on the Mississippi River

The directions and information Lawrence gave was very helpful and we found the place easily. The house was even better than the pictures in the write up portray. The view from every window was of the river. The street is very quiet and peaceful and the views from the backyard always seemed to include a deer or two. The decor and furnishing are very tasteful and the house had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. I recommend highly!

Great location

The property had enough room for my family, which included three teenagers. It's nice to have multiple bathrooms and space to spread out when traveling as a family. The upstairs bathroom is fabulous and there were plenty of towels for us. The location was really nice. There are two nearby parks and you can see the river from the house. The landscaping is also very nice. Would definitely stay again. :)

Love this place!

This is the second year of staying in this house for our Gateway MS150 bike ride. My mom and friends love this house. It's wonderfully furnished and very cozy with amazing views of the river off the upper balcony and lovely outdoor area for an evening cocktail. Also an easy walk to downtown Alton! Will be back again next year!
