This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property, and both times it was perfect. Communication is fast. Checking in and out is simple. The house is huge with absolutely beautiful views. We have 2 more visits to C. Springs in the future and are hoping that this property is available so we can stay here again.
Gorgeous mountain views and very comfortable! We would definitely stay here again! The location was excellent. We enjoyed many evenings and mornings sitting on the deck!
We had a great stay. Beautiful views from the wrap around deck, we loved hanging out there. Enjoyed seeing all the different birds and deer. Great place for our family reunion/vacation. Convenient location to get to various attractions and to Woodland Park and Manitou Springs. Comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and bedding. 2 kitchens which came in handy. Hot tub was perfect. Communication with Mr. Laggart was great, very quick and responsive. We recommend staying here.
This house is very family friendly. My 7 month old had plenty of room to crawl around and it was very baby safe. My 5 year old loved how she could go outside on the deck and watch for wildlife and go walking in the woods. Very comfortable stay and beautiful views. Very easy to get to just about anywhere. We would definintly stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The location is beautiful and the host was very easy to work with and quick to respond to messages. Highly recommend!
We stayed with 12 family members total. Everyone loved the gouse and views. Close to fishing for some and city for others.I will say its bot a 5 star resort...dont expect that. We loved it though!
Plenty of room for the three family units with kids! Nice suite downstairs. All very quiet, large rooms. Many fun hikes to do with kids a short drive away. Great communication with owner
Absolutely loved the house, the view, and the quiet coziness you get for the price. Its nestled near Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, The cave settlements, and the Cave tour where you can visit the location, tire yourself out then in less than 10 mins be back at the house to take a nap to recharge. Just be mindful driving through the neighborhood there was a lot of deer roaming in the area.
The home was great for the two of us and would be absolutely perfect for large groups. The views are stunning, the hot tub is a fantastic bonus and the garage is great. The bed was comfy, and the couch was great for relaxing. Super easy check in and check out.
We enjoyed the house it was very spacious and plenty of room for our big group. The road is very curvy and the driveway is downhill with 3 vehicles was a bit of a challenge at first but we figured it out. The views from the back deck were beautiful.
Plenty of room for everyone, comfortable beds, open floor plan makes it really nice for hanging out together, large kitchen, laundry facilities were great, hot tub clean, and barbeque grill! Nice view of the mountains off the deck. Spent many mornings and evenings on the deck!
Great location, great views, easy check in process. We had everything we needed as it relates to pots and pans, seasonings and toiletry items. This is very rare. Only problem we had was assuming the additional rooms included a bed and a pull out couch as I read it. It was enough space but the beds were not comfortable for some. Otherwise would recommend for all of the other great features.
The house suited our needs for an extended family home base during a wedding. The porch with hummingbirds was relaxing & entertaining. There was plenty of room for separation as needed, Additionally, there were plenty of pots, pans, plates etc.
Great home for a large family. Loved the deck, hot tub, and open kitchen. We forgot many mountain cabins don’t have air conditioning yet many windows open for fresh breeze. Richard was responsive to our needs. Would have liked a few extra blankets, so make sure and ask early for those to make sure they are on site. Some reported beds were not very comfortable. It was clean. Great location to many activities. Loved the Blue moose Tavern.
We stayed here 6 days for USAFA's Parents Weekend '24. The house was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked. All appliances worked. The beds and sheets were SOOO comfortable. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper, etc... My 2 Cadets loved the hottub. There was so much room to spread out between the 3 floors for everyone to do their homework, or just sleep. If this property is available, we will DEFINITELY stay here again for future Parents Weekends or Graduations! This is a super quiet area and the views of the mountains, and the sounds of the birds was fantastic as we sat on the wraparound porch. Complete relaxation. The charcoal grill was also perfect!
We had a great time on our trip and if you are looking for a solid place to stay with a big group, this is a good option. These are the overall pros and cons of this rental for our group. I find this helpful when reading reviews. :) Pros: - Size of house, great for big groups- Location is great. Just enough of a mountain vibe, but close enough to get to things as well. - Value of rental/price was great. - Comfortable beds. - Two kitchens are great for shared family vacays. - Good amount of bathrooms. - Owner was quick in responding/great communication. - Fantastic views off the deck.- Easy check-in process. Cons: - Not enough bedding for all beds (specifically for use of sleeper sofas) and not a lot of extra towels for a larger group. There is a washer/dryer though, which was definitely a pro. - Upstairs fridge was not working properly (but I believe this is getting fixed after our stay). - Downstairs kitchen unit not stocked with cooking supplies, utensils, etc. - One of the downstairs bedrooms did not have a door. Might not be a big deal to all groups, but would be nice to know for planning. We ended up hanging a blanket lol. Overall, our group really enjoyed this house and it fit our needs. We made some great memories!
We booked this mountain retreat in February for a March visit. I understood March in the Rocky's could be snowy and this year did not disappoint.
When we arrived at the house, the driveway was filled with snow! There was a 3 foot drift at the end of the driveway! We spent the first hour shoveling the driveway out so we could just get to the house! The owner did not have anyone to plow it nor was prepared to have guests arrive safely. Guests do have access to an oversized two car garage to park in. This was a nice perk.
Once we got inside, things were fine. The house was comfortable. We traveled with 9 people and everyone had a place to rest. The kitchen had what we needed to make meals.
One of the kids then went to use the bathroom to discover there was no toilet paper. The welcome book said each bathroom would have one roll and a spare under each sink. There were two rolls for the entire house.
The listing said a propane grill was available for guest use. It was actually a charcoal grill and only 1/8 of a bag of charcoal was available. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to know for planning purposes.
The hot tub was hot and functioning properly. The cover could stand to be replaced. It was water-logged and extremely heavy. We needed two adults to just get it off!
The location was great. Close to everything we wanted to see. There was a Walmart within 10 minutes to get groceries or toilet paper.
The owner did work with us about the TP and charcoal issue.
We stayed at this property for 5 nights at Christmas, and it was the perfect setting for our family. We had 5 adults and 4 kids for the stay. There was plenty of room for all (1 family had the whole downstairs to play in). It was supplied with all that we needed. The host was very quick in response to all my questions, and even put up a Christmas tree so we could really celebrate the holiday. Close to North Pole/Santa's Workshop, Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, and shopping. Some of the adults hiked the trail that was across the road, and got some beautiful views of Pike's Peak. The rest of us just hung around enjoying the deck and view.
