  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Our short stay was great! We really wish we would’ve stayed longer. The hosts were welcoming and attentive, and the house was beautiful and spacious. Although it was really cold while we were there, the backyard looks like it would be an amazing space to hang out and relax during the spring/summer. Loved the neighborhood too; it’s close to everything, but doesn’t feel like it. We will definitely stay there again!
