Property was spacious and the manager/owner were great, they addressed the couple of issues we had without issue and were great hosts. We had a great time celebrating our wedding weekend with our family and friends there. Property had a great outdoor area to hang out and relax. josh
Several families stayed here for an annual reunion. It was perfect for a group our size. The kitchen was large and very well-equipped, which made cooking for a big group easy, and the kids and adults all loved the pool.
The manor is historic, beautiful inside and out, family friendly, and very comfortable. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Our stay was just what we needed. We will definitely recommend and stay again if we are in the area again!
The home is perfect for large groups. It offers amazing gathering spaces, beautiful scenery, wonderful personal touches (host left fresh flowers in the home and brought pretty flower pots for outside for our event gathering). Everyone really enjoyed the home. We had 16, plus we hosted an informal gathering/rehearsal dinner. I did the cooking and the 6 burner gas stove and kitchen island made preparing and serving food easy. There were many options for seating inside and out. The firepit was a nice touch for the chilly evening. It was perfect for our needs. Older homes are quirky and have lots of character, which we enjoyed. Host had excellent communication and was quick to address a few small concerns/questions we had. The home could benefit from a refresh of pillows and mattress pads.
We used this house to stay over Labor Day weekend with a group of old friends and their kids. Great house for a large and diverse group - in particular, we loved the porches, back yard, and pool.
The size of the house with all the bedrooms was wonderful for our stay and the price was very reasonable, comparable to hotel. There are some upgrades and cleaning that should happen, but would definitely use this rental again.
We had 20+ people that traveled in for a wedding. The property had plenty of space for us all. We also had rehearsal dinner around the pool! It was a beautiful setting. We had a great experience!
Our family, especially the kids, really enjoyed the pool and the big lawn. We set up some disc golf baskets and had fun practicing and then cooling off in the pool. The owners were very attentive and responded immediately when I reached out with questions.
Was there for a family reunion and concord manor was perfect. The house is spacious and is one of the grand old houses. The outside space with decking, pool and green space were amazing. The family spent a lot of time outdoors swimming and eating. It’s the kind of place that encourages conversation and laughter
Space for everyone! This was a great place for our large family. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays too! Note: it is a very old an quirky place, but our group knew this and was fine with its oddities. There is a soft spot in the kitchen floor, but it held up fine with many feet using it. Tons of fridge space, huge oven/range, so we could easily have two people in there preparing meals. Also, if you are looking for delivered groceries, Walmart had delivery to the doorstep for us!. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
The ambience of a richly decorated estate brings you into an elegant period of peaceful relaxation and rest from the stresses heaped upon us today, yet with all the modern conveniences one needs.
One visit to Concord Manor and it will have you believing you’ve stepped, in a small way, into a place where novels are created and where the cobwebs of your mind are quietly dusted away.
It’s a place where your soul can breath and where logic and understanding come together! Find peace, find Concord Manor.

Attention to detail is lacking
We came to this property to celebrate the 4th of July and my daughter's birthday. Our main reason for choosing this property was the sparkling blue pool and nicely maintained outdoor spaces depicted in the listing. Upon arrival, this is not what we saw. The pool was green with algae and most of the back area of the house was overgrown. Upon looking at the Manor's Facebook page we noticed that many of the photos they had listed were over ten years old. The owners were still there preparing the property for our arrival (and were there a full hour after our check-in time) The owner said that they just shocked the pool and that it would be clear by morning. 4th of July morning comes and the pool is still murky and green. When we contacted the owner he said he would send someone out later but sometimes their pool "is just like that".The groundskeeper came around 1 pm and addressed the pool which was clear by the morning of the 5th but we missed out on a full day of pool time. Aside from the pool, there were lots of small disappointments. The house advertises wifi but the router is in the guest house which we did not discover until later that first evening when trying to use a wifi enabled baby monitor. The signal was so weak we called the owner who confirmed the strongest signal was "outside on the deck". The home is historic and beautiful but its upkeep has gotten away from them for many reasons for which the limitations of this space for review won't allow me to expand upon.
The property was clean, beautiful, and in a great location. The number of rooms and bathrooms were perfect for what we needed. Our host communicated with us excellently beforehand and with any needs we had. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
Beautiful and spacious home. Perfect for 16 friends and family to stay together to attend a wedding. Owner was great and responded quickly to our requests. Highly recommended
We stayed here as a family of 8 adults and 2 small children for Liberty University’s homecoming weekend, and this property exceeded expectations. The house is deceptively large — more than enough room for everyone to have their own space for quiet time, small group conversations, or gathering together as a full family. The location was perfect. About 20 minutes from Liberty and Lynchburg, so close enough for easy trips back and forth, yet far enough out to enjoy peace, quiet, and a true rural setting. A great balance.Bill, the owner, was fantastic — responsive, proactive, and great with communication from start to finish. This place is a rural gem and we will absolutely be booking again on our next trip down. Strongly recommend!
The house blew our expectations- plenty of space and very nicely furnished and equipped! A few days spent poolside were all we needed to relax and unwind. Thanks so much Bill for an incredible stay.
We ranged from 4 to 75 years old and everyone had a fine time. The pool was the center attraction, then the back porch and deck. Beautiful old house and grounds.
The house was big, beautiful, and had everything we needed. When we arrived it was in the 90’s. Unloading the cars was hot and exhausting, but the pool was cool and relaxing. We planned on making some sightseeing trips during the week, but the temperatures were in the high 90’s all week, and the pool was so refreshing we didn’t need to go anywhere except for food. We had a great week. If I had any complaints it would be the internet was slow at peak hours. But we had plenty to do without internet. Loved the house, loved the area, and had a family vacation that we will remember forever.
Loved this home - so much space to spread out and to gather. Everything was neat and clean in the living areas - looked exactly like the pictures. We visited during fairly mild cold weather, and the air systems kept up beautifully (and felt like they could easily handle colder weather). Kitchen is set up for big gatherings and several cooks in the kitchen.
Unusual things we found in this old house that you don't usually find in older houses: many bathrooms and plentiful wall outlets!
