"We enjoyed an excellent holiday in Bill’s lodge in Portumna. The lodge was spacious and spotlessly. There was plenty of green space to enjoy and for the kids to burn off some energy. The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. We used the lodge as base, and did many local activities - such as paintball in Pallas, the forest park in Portumna, Derg Isle kayaking, petting farm, Birr Castle & Playground; further afield we went to baysports in Lough Ree and surfing...

It is such a beautifully finished, well-appointed property to use as a base for travel further around Ireland, or to enjoy the peaceful countryside from in its own right. Karin is a fantastic host who could not have been more amenable and hospitable. We very much hope to return in the near future."

Excellent communication from her pre-check in too and she even messaged to warn us about roadworks in Terryglass. A 5 star service. The house was spotless and well equipped, it’s a very reasonable price for this area."
