"Phone in room not working was unable to call for room service. Room 602 directly below rooftop kitchen, woken up each morning at 6am as kitchen staff wheeling around carts and banging doors. Cleaning lady walked in an hour before check-in despite 'do not disturb' sign clearly visible hanging from outside doorknob, walked in with full view of me in shower. Told all to front desk at check out, response: "so sorry". Beautiful property though."

"Great central location, parking garage was about 2 blocks away. We were there during a recent heatwave and the AC was much appreciated as it left the room chilly. The staff was very helpful as we had quite a few questions and requests. We ended up adding 2 additional nights to our original 4 night stay. Walking distance to the museum, restaurants, chopping, and the viejo part of town. Would stay here again."

"This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms were spacious and impeccable, and the staff was extremely helpful. They literally anticipated needs. We parked our car in the hotel garage and every time we needed it during our stay, there were fresh bottles of water in the car. There was also always new bottled water in the room, along with nightly chocolate surprises. We stayed over Fourth of July and found America themed cupcakes in our room."

"The staff is what I like best about this hotel. They are very friendly and are always ready to help. The design of the hotel is minimalist but very functional. Bathrooms are great and beds are comfortable. Conveniently located next to the old town with a beautiful view over the river. Definitely will stay here again!"

"Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff at Reception. Very comfortable, modern, good sized room, pleasantly decorated. Excellent breakfast, with many options. We loved it. Very good location. Pleasant walk along the river. The food served at the bar is outstanding. This hotel exceeded our expectations."

"Nice gardens surrounding the house/palace in an isolated natural place inviting to relaxing and enjoy nature. Only 30 minutes to Santoña and other attractions. Restaurant team very friendly but people at reception were not friendly not knowledgeable, so making some situations uneasy. Only breakfast and dinner offered at the hotel restaurants. Food was quite good. A couple of local small restaurants in the town. We likes Casa de Montaña."
