Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The property is set in lovely peaceful surroundings which made it very relaxing.
The view from our room was amazing,
The room we stayed in looked a little tired and the bathroom could do with a refurbish as there were cracked tiles and the grouting around the bath looked old and tired.
The staff on the whole were friendly and helpful but the drinks were a little on the expensive side.
That being said we did have a very relaxing stay and would return again.

Thank you for your feedback and praise about the location and our staff, we are looking into the issues you have raised.
Quiet location set in countryside. Convenient for visiting local tourist attractions. Comfortable rooms. Staff attentive and helpful. Property/rooms needing a refresh
We had an amazing stay. We stayed at the Groes Inn about 15 years ago and it was nice to return. We ate dinner at the pub and had a few drinks. From check-in until check-out the following day the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and sitting in a nice cosy pub with an open fire was just what the doctor ordered.
The bed in the room was huge! However unfortunately the bed was too on the firm side for me for a comfortable nights sleep. But overall a wonderful stay.
Amazing place. Cannot recommend enough. Lovely friendly staff and beautiful room. Everything spotlessly clean. Food was amazing and all freshly prepared. Will definitely be visiting again.
Stayed 2 nights with our dog. Ate there both nights, food was great, breakfast set you up for the days hiking. Staff were great, very friendly, my dog loved them, they made a real fuss of him. Very comfy room with great views over the hills, overall we had a really enjoyable stay.
We had a great stop here for a night, the staff were friendly and food was great for the evening and breakfast.

Brilliant stay!!!
Fantastic stay! Staff are warm welcoming and cannot do enogh for you. Food is great. We will definitely be going back. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend.
Very pleasant stay on our motoring journey from Ireland via Holyhead and down to Windsor. Nice room and evening meal with a great breakfast before setting off on our journey south. Can recommend.
The bathroom was large (only issue water would get out of the shower area). comfortable beds- Wifi very poor-and need to clean the bugs around windows and doors. Breakfast was wonderful- lots of options.
Excellent room, great food and drinks menu very pleasantly served by efficient and attentive staff.
Some restaurant furniture/decor in need of a revamp, probably end-of-season’ jaded.
Beautiful old pub with lovely accommodation. We had the family room, 2 adults & 2 kids. Great room, kids round the corner so everyone e has privacy! Lovely views out of their bedroom window. Dinner was delicious & staff very helpful & friendly. Unfortunately breakfast wasn’t as good. The waiter forgot our tea & a side order of bacon, was reminded & then forgot again (we never got them). My Hollandaise sauce was curdled then came back without sauce as it curdled again, & the soft boiled gags were hard!
BUT, would come back as everything else was great.
Lovely stay in a family room beds were comfortable and room was clean great for what we required. Lovely views all around the hotel staff were friendly and approachable
Beautiful property. Great location for getting about (you do need a car). Food and service was excellent. It was peaceful with lovely views. Would definitely stay here again.
I had the best stay at the Groes Inn! Everyone was super friendly and made me feel so comfortable. The views from my room were incredible! Everywhere was so clean and smelt amazing! I cannot wait to return. Thank you to all the staff for making my trip so rememberable and relaxing.
A wonderful visit from start to end. The hotel personnel were, without exception, friendly, welcoming, professional and endeavoured to ensure that we were comfortable and completely satisfied.
The food in the restaurant was well presented, of excellent quality and taste and served with grace and enjoyment.
Very friendly efficient staff. Room spacious with comfortable bed. Large en-suite with bath, good shower and plenty of hot water. Breakfast excellent. Evening meals well cooked, although menu a bit steak and burger heavy. Goan curry rather bland. Parts of the pub need a bit of paint and refurbishment but overall a very pleasant stay.
We had a fantastic two night stay with our dog. The food is delicious and the service was faultless. Super dog friendly staff and very comfortable, well equipped room. We will definitely return.
Situated about 2 miles out of Conwy- the location is quiet with Mountain View’s. Plenty of safe parking. The staff are all extremely friendly and eager to please. We had breakfast and dinner and both were excellent. It seems to be very popular for meal bookings at weekends. I would recommend this as a great place stay.
Very comfotable bed, great mountain view through the french doors & over the fields.
Brilliant staff from the front desk, to the bar staff & the waiters & waitresses. Food was excellent.
