Y Pengwern

10/10 Excellent

"We love staying at Y Pengwern. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was good and reasonable and the complimentary breakfast was brilliant. Comfy bed and warm room. Great location. Good beer. Would definitely stay again."

IXORA Hotel and Spa

8/10 Good

"The location of this hotel is beautiful, and all the staff we encountered were pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant staff were particularly lovely, although the service felt a little chaotic at times, especially at breakfast. I’m not sure whether they were short-staffed, but the food itself was good. The spa was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay, particularly the outdoor pools with their gorgeous views. Our room was modern and nicely presented, but it lacked some finishing touches, particularly when it came to cleanliness. There were crumbs on the floor and hairs on the bed from previous occupants, which was disappointing. We also stayed for two nights and our water bottles were never replenished, which felt like a small but noticeable oversight. Overall, the hotel has a beautiful setting, welcoming staff and a fantastic spa, but a little more attention to housekeeping and the finer details would make the experience much better."

Waterloo Hotel Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful 1 nights stay on the way to Anglesey. Check-in was quick and efficient. The lodge rooms were warm and comfortable. The bar area had lovely decor (would have been nice to have been a bit warmer as it was a cold, wet, murky evening) and staff friendly and helpful. All drinks and food were very nice, all clean plates! Had a very quiet and comfortable nights sleep. An early swim and jacuzzi using the facilities followed by a very nice buffet and hot breakfast. Overall, very good value in a very good location. Would not hesitate to return and recommend Waterloo Hotel Lodge."

The Management Centre

8/10 Good

"The property was up a hill. The view across the Menai straights was beautiful. The room was a decent size and warm. The bathroom was clean and a good size. The shower was good. The staff were helpful , friendly and polite .There was lots of room to sit at reception where there was also a book swap. The restaurant was a bit like a canteen, but the food was good. The hotel reminded me of halls of residents at a university and it is next to the university. The reception said they use it for conferences and people stay. I still enjoyed it because of the view and we only stayed one night. Negatives to get to our room you have to walk straight through the restaurant. The restaurant could have been a bit less like a canteen. The windows in the building could have done with a lick of paint. You had to drive and not just take a walk as it is on a steep hill."

The Marine Hotel

8/10 Good

"Check in is 3pm, so more than happy to have a drink in the bar. Booked a superior room which had a separate seating area and a great view of the pier and the sea. Building is old so wonky floors are a given. Huge bed with clean linen, bathroom very clean and you are provided with everything you need. We had a great couple of nights. Bar prices are reasonable to."

Caer Rhun Hall Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Couldn't fault the staff who were always very helpful and friendly. Good choice for a continental breakfast and evening meal was very good. Only downside was the size of our room, If i had known just how small "cosy" was i would have upgraded. I'm 6'4" and a double bed is too small, i fell out at one point :) Don't let this detract from a great hotel though. Would go again,"
