"Breakfast was okay but had to choose what you wanted the night before. All a bit dated and old fashioned, basic but no extras offered."

"The pictures do not do this property justice. Lovely setting on the edge of town with the feel of being alone in the country. Noelle was extremely accommodating, and prompt. We arrived quite late in the evening during one of the bank holidays for the locals. Noelle meet us at the home with a lovely welcoming basket of goodies. All the basic essentials were at the home, including detergent and fabric softener. Which made it easy for us arriving late as it meant we did not have to turn back out to grab coffee or creamer. Do know, although you are close to town and a local pub, there are no public footpaths, so you will absolutely need a car to get every where. If you don’t plan on renting one, the taxis are easy, and very much readily available. However, I suggest renting a car as you are very near many attraction and historical sights to visit, for short (or long) day trips. I would defiantly stay at this charming home again. There are five bedrooms with on suites, a washer and dryer, games, puzzles and the most gorgeous sunsets. Don’t forget to grab fresh eggs from the nieghbor a few doors down. We stayed a total of ten days, and were not ready to level when our journey was over."

"Like staying at an English Country manor, which it was once. Working farm with sheep, horses and cows. Beautiful views. Martha was very helpful and flexible with a couple scheduling problems we brought to her with our schedule change."

"We were sleeping in a separate little house on the large estate. It was clean and spacious for 3 people. But the reason for only 3 stars: super loud music (the equivalent of a music festival…) on Saturday morning from a barn with cross-fit sessions…; multiple woodlice in the rooms (probably because of the house’s location near horses); fertiliser spread against the building (dry pallets, not fresh…) by tractor working on the adjacent field; very small washing basin without space for toiletries (the sink in kitchen was more convenient). Some more consideration is needed from the property owners to assure a truly pleasant stay. "

"Beautiful room, very pretty hotel, decent food. However the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in and we travel a lot. Doors slamming around the clock, too close to main road. In hotels defense there was a car rally going on the 2 days we stayed. Avoid this area the first weekend of may if possible. Unfortunate because the room is gorgeous. Maybe just an unpleasant experience for us. Good luck"
