About this property
A private glamping retreat stocked with amenities and comforts in Cooperstown
Escape to Red Creek Hideaway in Cooperstown, a private glamping retreat nestled among 11 acres in a serene valley along Red Creek, just 2.5 miles from the Baseball Hall of Fame and Lake Otsego. Whether you're visiting for a baseball tournament, a family trip, or a quiet getaway, this cozy sanctuary offers the perfect blend of nature and comfort. The Cooperstown Dreams Park and an abundance of activities for kids are just a short drive away. Red Creek Hideaway puts you within easy reach of everything the area has to offer - from boating, fishing, and hiking, to the famous Glimmerglass State Park, apple and berry picking, a scenic lakeside golf course, world-class museums, charming restaurants, and fantastic local breweries.
The canvas, safari style tent, offers a bunk bed with a comfortable queen size mattress on the bottom and a full size mattress on top. Wake up to the supplied coffee or tea on the deck with two Adirondack chairs and catch a glimpse of white tailed deer that often wander down the trails in the morning. Inside we provide electricity, side tables, shelves for storage, free water bottles, a wood stove, a fan, a small table with two seats, and the option to rent Wi-Fi access if you need to work.
Enjoy the outdoor comfort station with a translucent roof that allows the sun to come in, featuring a hot shower with body wash and shampoo, a sink with dishwashing liquid, and a water flush camping toilet. Spend your evenings cooking on the gas grill or gathering around the firepit next to the screened-in gazebo, complete with picnic table and cooking utensils. Firewood and fire starters are supplied at no additional cost.
For a truly private experience, a wooded trail leads you to a deck overlooking the tranquil waters of Red Creek that meanders gently through the landscape, its clear waters shimmering as it rushes under a canopy of trees. The banks are lined with wild grasses and wildflowers that sway in the breeze. The steady flow of water produces a rhythmic sound—peaceful and familiar. In some places, the creek widens into sparkling shallows, where you can see crayfish and minnows, while in others, it deepens into calm pools. It’s perfect for relaxing or taking a dip in the cool waters. Dogs are allowed and encouraged with access to wade into the creek and plenty of room to explore.
OFFICE WITH WI-FI There is a fully furnished office located in the shed near the street entrance. It has a lounge chair that opens to a twin bed, Wi-Fi, a desk with a 27” monitor, keyboard and mouse. It is available to guests at $50 per stay. If you wish to use the office during your stay, please call or text Jeff at 781-640-7493 for payment, access and instructions.

It was so fancy! Great introduction to camping for my son! My husband and I were avid backpackers before I got cancer. Now ten years cancer-free and dipping our toes back in.
Enjoyable, private stay with exceptional communication and all the camping comforts you could need! Owner and property manager had strong communication and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. Beds are comfortable, towels are plush, and power banks are provided (and recharged for longer stays). Many great restaurants nearby, one of our favorites was the seasonal Origins Cafe. Close to Cooperstown village and Cooperstown Dreams Park. Nice fire pit on site and many strategically placed motion lights to ensure visibility and safety.
We had a blast at this site. It was well maintained and a joy having the property to ourselves. We had a wild weather week with above average heat and then cold rainy days. The area stayed dry, with the mulch in the area and the tent was a refuge! Thanks for the hospitality!
