    Popular with fans of fishing and other water sports, Charleston is well-known for its outdoor activities. And that includes the beach! Five miles west of here is a gem of the Southern Oregon Coast - Shore Acres State Park. There are hiking trails and amazing views galore, including the stunning Simpson Reef Overlook. Coos Bay is just seven miles away and offers a number of galleries, shops, and restaurants.

Pretty Place

Best Little Vacation Cabin in Charleston

Excellent decor, cute, cozy, and amazing location. My son and I go to Charleston atleast once a year for a father son trio. We crab and fish. This cabin is ideal for Sportsmen with amazing mounts in the house and a place to cook our cstch outside. We've found the dollar check the guest book" 3 out of 4 years.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Home was very clean, lots of comfortable furniture, all details about heat, WiFi, etc clearly posted. Lots of linens, paper goods, soaps, everything we could want and then some. We loved the way it was decorated, made us feel like we were in a home, not a rental. Very private and quiet, great covered patio with table, chairs and the VIEW was awesome. We hope to come here again.

Clean and quiet

This cute, quirky cottage was perfect for our romantic getaway. The property was super clean, cute and the view was fantastic. It was cozy with a pellet stove fire, dual recliners and a big screen TV. No dishwasher, but we ate out mostly so not an issue. It is in a quiet neighborhood and the bed was super comfy. We loved it!

Peace and Quiet in Nature

We had just had several stressful weeks and we loved our stay here. We even bundled up on the cold rainy days and sat outside listening to the pitter patter of raindrops on the roof. It was quiet and peaceful sitting outside watching the tides ebb and flow, otters crossing the water and bird life. It was a wonderful place to rest and renew. The bed was very comfortable, as was the furniture. Excellent shower.... lots of hot water and good pressure. We have stayed in quite a few vacation rentals and this was one of our favorites. Hope to return.

2023 graduation trip

Osprey Cove was such a beautiful place to stay. Very peaceful! I graduated with my second degree and I can't think of better place to stay in Coos Bay. My only concern was the strange man in the bushes, but unfortunately vagrants are a part of coos. The home was cozy and clean and the shower was the most amazing one I've ever been in lol. Great water pressure. They really do give you everything that you need for crabbing and whatnot. My only criticism is that the rake is barely hold together with a bit of tape, but still worked just fine for what we needed it for. The home was very well stocked with all linens and blankets. It was nice and warm as well. Very inviting.

VRBO vs VACASA

I’ve used VRBO over 10 years. It has been rare for me to contact the property manager. Unfortunately there was a safety concern and it was frustrating to first call an 800 number, talk to what felt like a call center with a heavily accented person and then be required text pictures (all the while the pellet stove is smoking up the house and periodically igniting while turned off). It took a bit to convince VACASA I needed a local person to address our safety concern. Once I spoke to a local person, the issue was resolved quickly. As it turned out, the previous tenant overloaded the pellets. The local level was amazing, they had the Owner and a local technician here within 30 minutes. 5 stars to the local team My only other issue was someone was digging around in the garage that is attached to this small apartment. (8PM ish) The walls are thin and it was loud in the apartment. At 9:15PM we were in bed (the loud scraping and shuffling still going on in the garage) and an alarm goes off (long enough for us to think it was our rental and we got out of bed to check our car) It was very loud (hubby thinks it was the building alarm). Then the truck starts and since the thin bedroom wall is shared with the garage wall the muffler is super loud and it felt like a roar when they finally left the garage at 9:35PM Whomever dug around in the garage was extremely inconsiderate. The view is amazing, the location is convenient, it’s one of the cleaner units I’ve stayed in.
