"My family gathers from around the Country for a week each summer to vacation together. We chose our Lackawaxen house this year. The accommodations were perfect for our ‘gang’ of 11. We were close to the many Masthope offerings for every age and enjoyed the lovely, well appointed, 3-floor house.Communication with the hosts was excellent with any questions answered quickly and well. Our week was special, made so by the friendly staff, great accommodations and curious wildlife: no we didn’t feed them."

"Amazing multi-family summer vacation ! We swam and played by the lake, went down water slides and splashed at the pool, had frozen cocktails at the tiki bar, paddle boated and kayaked, rode ponies and made so many family memories. The house was perfectly equipped to house multiple families, was clean, had an arcade, sauna, playground, fire pit and lots of neighborhood deer friends as furry visitors. We had an excellent time and will be back to Masthope again ASAP! "
"Pros: This was the perfect house for our girl's weekend getaway. The house itself was newly renovated, clean and nicely decorated. Very comfortable sofa and well-stocked kitchen. We spent the first day at the Spa at Woodloch, came back to the cabin to freshen up and then had dinner at the Tree Restaurant. The following day we hiked Shohola Falls and Shuman Point Hiking Trail and did a little antiquing through the town of Hawley. We also had a tasty lunch at Paupack Watering Hole and dinner at The Overlook Restaurant.Cons: We arrived at night and the abandoned house/structure at the beginning of the driveway was quite a jump scare. The ph system for the water starting beeping in the middle of night (2AM), which caused a few friends to lose sleep on the first floor. We were able to reset the ph filter in the morning; it was located in the basement. The beds vary in comfort- some are very firm and some are very mushy. It was a bit of trial and error trying to figure out which bed we liked best. Overall, this house was GREAT. I would highly recommend the house and the owner is very responsive and accommodating. "
