"The house did not look like any of the pictures listed. The house was very outdated. The couches were gross and had an odor, most of the outside furniture was broken so there was no where to sit. The view of the lake was beautiful but there was tons of garbage laying all over by the lake (cigarette butts, old cornhole game, plastic, wood, etc.). Window screens are in disrepair, lamps out and broken and cracked items everywhere. The house was not very well stocked and made it difficult to cook, which is a big part of our weekend here. No oven mitts, dish towels, sharp knives, cookie sheets, etc. Coffee makers did not work (both of them), they leaked water everywhere. Everytime we used oven, the whole house was filled with smoke because the oven was filthy and filled with grease on the bottom of the oven.We rent a house every year in Masthope on Easter weekend to get together with all our grown children and cook and celebrate. We have been doing this for years and always have a good experience. This was the worst house we stayed in and the first time I had to write a bad review. The house needs a lot work and not in rentable or presentable shape. I would not recommend staying in this house."

"It was good for the price and what I needed it for Fireplace didn’t work second day. House was in need of an upgrade in a small way yard and deck were messy but was ok for us. Just needed an annex for a house my brother in law ha nearby as a convenient sleeping location. "

"Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at this house! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautiful and impeccably clean everything was. The house was thoughtfully designed, cozy yet spacious, and had all the comforts you could ask for after a long day on the slopes."

"Our check in time was 4pm on Friday February 6th, the first guests to arrive at the home parked in the driveway at 7pm. It was immediately noted that the point of entry was not cleared of snow upon arrival, and guests had to use items available to them in their cars to clear a walkway into the home. Upon entry it was noted that the internal temperature of the house was 35 Fahrenheit. The second item noted within the home was the third floor toilet, which did not flush and would fill with water. The rental manger was contacted and made aware of these issues, guests were instructed to “make sure the windows were closed” and to manually troubleshoot the toilet. All guests traveled from 2.5 hours away and were not able to make the commute back home due to inclement weather and snowfall. The heat was not able to be turned on until 11pm and the house did not get warm until 2am. Guests breath were visible and had to wear outward gear from time of arrival until 1 am- a total of 6 hours. On Saturday afternoon around 1pm a man arrived after being told to plow the driveway. Guests were told the night prior to expect him early in the morning. The property manager was extremely nasty when I contacted her. She told me I should have stayed in a hotel!!!!"

"Really beautiful home. It suited our needs well. Very clean which is high on my priority list. The kids enjoyed the basement/game room. Very comfy living space. We chose THE coldest weekend to spend in PA with lots of leftover snow and fresh snow. We had to shovel our way a path from the car to the entryway but other than that no major complaints. Thanks so much! "

"Place is cute. Don’t plan on snuggling up on the couch unless you’re under 4ft, it’s not the one in the pictures. Decent selection on pots and pans for cook and utensils. "
