"This is a wonderful spot for a family in summertime. The house is big enough for 4 and well equipped. The beach is very handy and the view is spectacular. Marcello. your host, is super helpful and speaks fluent English. I was unlucky with the weather as it was rainy and cold. While the house has heating, I didn’t know it was not included in the price. In an effort to stay within my budget I remained uncomfortably cold. Also the ‘hot water’ was only lukewarm. E40 cleaning fee was also added. I was disappointed in these extra charges. If you’re ok with these extra charges, I highly recommend Villa Makda. "

"Parking on site was great, comfortable bed and good shower. David had chairs and umbrella for us to take to the beach. Coffee supplied for first day and fresh towels and bedsheets on demand."

"The pool is wonderful, with a beautiful view and access to a small private beach, which is small but very charming. Breakfast is varied and good. The hotel has great potential due to its location and structure. However, it lacks management and attention to detail. Upon arrival, we entered through a large gate leading to a courtyard with several doors, but there were no signs indicating where the reception or parking was located, nor were there staff available to welcome or guide guests. Signage inside the hotel is also poor, and even finding the main restaurant was difficult. The service is very basic, with no warmth or friendliness, which does not match the standards expected of a resort. Our room was on the second floor, accessible only by a narrow and steep external staircase, which was very inconvenient with heavy luggage. At the pool, although the area is pleasant, there were no towels available, and we had to walk all the way to the reception, which was far away, to get them. On one morning, the music was excessively loud and not appropriate for a relaxing atmosphere. In addition, the pool bathrooms had plastic structures, including the walls, which felt makeshift and not up to resort standards. Overall, this hotel has great potential, but it clearly lacks professional management and attention to detail to truly match the level expected of a resort."

"Pros: Our host (Federica) was awesome. She was always in touch before our arrival and during our stay to assist us if needed. The house was perfect when we arrived, Federica had already stocked the accommodations with bottled water, coffee pods, simple breakfast items and even a souvenir magnet of Sicily. All of those thoughtful items made for happy welcome and great stay. The house is conviently located near the beach in Cornino and within a hour drive or so of Palermo and Trapani. This awesome location makes for a great location to enjoy and explore this area of Sicily. Cons: There were no negative issues during our stay."

"This place was in a very convenient location. The host was so welcoming and kind, and had some great information about the area. The room and bathroom was absolutely spotless!!!
