Cortona Charme - La Terrazza Cortonese

Terrazza Cortonese is a beautiful apartment in the historic center of the ancient town of Cortona, charming and beautiful medieval village that owes its origins to the ancient Etruscan civilization, of which today we find evidence throughout the town. Cortona is situated at the top of a hill from which it proudly dominates the whole Valdichiana and Lake Trasimeno.
La Terrazza Cortonese is located on the second floor of an old building born from the union of ancient luxury homes and apartments. We are in the heart of the old town of Cortona, the center of social and cultural life and a step away from all services, but at the same time immersed in a peaceful and calm atmosphere. The apartment owes its name to the beautiful 44 sqm terrace and from which you can enjoy incomparable views of the surrounding landscape, dine outdoors and simply have some relaxing moments. Perfect and romantic all year round this beautiful terrace is a little corner of paradise in the town center and is also equipped with outdoor table and sun beds.

The apartment is large and spacious (136 square meters) and is furnished with quality materials and details which make it one of a kind. It has a large and cozy living room with fireplace, sofa, satellite TV and dining table. From the lounge you have access to the terrace and kitchen, also very spacious and complete with everything needed to prepare meals or to welcome a chef who will cook exclusively for you. The kitchen is complete with dining table and a fireplace (used as a barbecue). Both living room and kitchen further to the bedrooms have windows which overlook the valley, brighting up the atmosphere and giving you breathtaking views. The sleeping area consists of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom (convertible into a double room if necessary), both enhanced by exposed beams and wooden floors, giving you a sense of serenity and family warmth. There are two bathrooms, both with showers. The apartment is completed by a small studio overlooking the sleeping area.
La Terrazza Cortonese has free wi fi, air conditioning and heating (both payable upon consumption), a safe and washing machine.

Our five night stay was just wonderful in Cortona. This is our third stay in Cortona and the location was absolutely perfect for us. Just steps away from all the shops and restaurants. The apartment was just like the photos and description said. Comfortable, quiet, stunning view.

My family had a great stay for 4 nights the week of March 25, 2024. 2 adults and 2 children. The location is perfect - right on the main road in town with shops, cafes, pharmacies etc. Check in was a breeze, communication with property management easy and quick, and apartment is as shown and described. The views from the terrace are stunning!

You guys were wonderful. Thanks for making our stay so memorable. We enjoyed all of our time with Francesco and learned a great deal about the area. Appreciate all the efforts on the AC and thanks for taking care of our last meal. That was very kind of you. We really enjoyed the food and people at Il Cacciatore and I'm pretty sure came close to sampling everything on the menu. We will recommend all of our friends make a trip to Cortona. It was a great vacation for Heidi and I will remember it fondly for years and hopefully will make it back again. Thanks for helping to arrange all of our activities which were wonderful. We have stayed 8 times in Cortona and always within walking distance to the old town center. This particular location was our 2nd time to rent. This should explain how happy we are with the location and the easy access to restaurants and English speaking agency. It both times exceeded our expectations! Kelly H

Wonderful location in the middle of town on the only flat street. 2 floors up but stairs are easy. Very spacious apartment with everything you need. The patio and it’s view are amazing. A/C works fine. Great place to stay. Hope to return!

This was our second visit in less than a year to this fantastic apartment in Cortona. The apartment is centrally located, has an amazing terrace with commanding views of Lake Trasimeno and the Chiana Valley and is really, really comfortable. Alice, Angela and the Rent in Tuscany crew go out of their way to make sure your arrival is comfortable and that all of your questions are answered - and can offer great suggestions on things to do in Cortona and the surrounding area. We will return to Cortona Charme each and every time we visit Tuscany - and hope to do so often. One pro tip - it is a walk up with serious stairs, so if mobility is an issue this may not be the unit for you.

This is probably one of the very best locations to stay in the whole of Cortona. Splendid views over the countryside surrounding Cortona, from an excellent terrazza. It is in the main street of Cortona, with all the pleasure this can provide (cappuccino 5 meters from our house entrance, excellent restaurants very closeby). As the house is orientated towards the valley, this is also a very quite place. Furniture and equipment is good, appartment is clean. We love Cortona (this is our 5th time, 1st time in this house) and we will certainly comeback to this appartment.

We had an amazing week at La Terrazzo Cortonese. The apartment was spacious, extremely clean and had outstanding views of the Tuscan countryside. Kirsten was very helpful both before and during our stay. She arranged for day trips, wine tastings, cooking classes and dinner reservations. We would definitely use Rent in Tuscany in the future.

This is my 3rd time staying in this beautiful apartment and it will certainly not be my last! The apartment is spacious but warm and welcoming. The terrazza is AMAZING! We spend every morning and evening looking over the beautiful Valdichiana and taking in the sights and sounds of Cortona. Alice and her team have been perfect in every aspect of the rental process. This is the best apartment in Italy. The veranda overlooking the valley is spectacular. Added to that is the fact that the apartment is in the center of Cortona yet when one is in the apartment one feels like she is in a villa in Tuscany. The photo below is from the veranda

We've visited Cortona many times before and stayed in many different accommodations, but this is our absolute favorite. The rooms are clean and spacious. The kitchen is large and well-equipped with nice appliances, and plenty of cooking supplies. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were nice. And the terrace is absolutely amazing. It's an excellent space for entertaining or relaxing. We're hoping to make this our regular rental whenever we visit Cortona. More than that, the wonderful ladies at Rent in Tuscany are the best. They're attentive, kind, and very helpful. They couldn't have been better hosts for us. Thank you so much!

What did we love more? Cortona or our amazing apartment? It’s a tie! The apartment was perfect for us - starting with a stunning view from the terrace to a well appointed kitchen, comfy beds and all the amenities. We thought Cortona was going to be our home base for numerous day trips, which we did, but we found exploring and enjoying Cortona kept us at “home” several days. Beautiful, beautiful Cortona.

I stayed at Cortona Charme for 9 nights this April and I can not say enough about the owner and her gorgeous apartment. She was very attentive from the beginning of our reservation process to the end of our stay. She was consistently available to answer any questions we had. She even brought us firewood on a cold rainy night simply because I had asked if the fireplace was working :) The apartment is a beautifully restored rustic space with all the modern conveniences you could need. The enormous terrace overlooking the Valdichiana is just breathtaking! I could have stayed out there all day and night. The location is perfect for exploring Cortona, right in the center of everything yet tucked away in a historic building with the patio in the back so you feel like you're truly away from it all! We will definitely be back but for a little longer next time ;) Thank you!
