Junction of The Nottingham Canal and Robbinetts Arm Robbinttes Arm comes in from the right, to join the main canal as it takes a ninety degree turn.

Junction with the Robbinetts Arm This is where the Arm, which is straight ahead, joins the Nottingham Canal. Created to serve a mine below Oldmoor Wood, it now acts as the main feeder channel for this section of the main canal, keeping it fully in water throughout the year. Dead Lane runs the other side of the hedge to the right.

By the Nottingham Canal Cossall Road and the canal run side by side through most of their legth in this square. Here the canal and road cross a stream which is culverted under the waterway and road. Just in front of the car you can see an overflow outfall which feeds into this stream. The canal follows the 50m contour along this stretch and the trees in the distance are at 85 metres above sea level.

The Robbinetts Arm This short arm of the Nottingham Canal leads to a disused mine and acts as a feeder taking water from Oldmoor Wood. This is taken from the culverted bridge on Dead Lane, Cossall.

Hotel was lovely and the beds were comfortable. Really pleasant staff and would recommend the hotel. However wasn’t a fan of 5 WhatsApp messages plus Expedia messages from them think it was a bit too much. Apart from that everything else was great
