  • Envy of peace and nature, come and relax in the single-storey gîte that we have just built on the ground floor of an old renovated barn (without accommodation neither above nor next to it). You will not be bored in the CATHAR COUNTRY. You will be enchanted by the diversity of sites to discover: lakes, gorges, Cathar castles, caves, ... and by the various activities nearby: hiking or mountain biking, white water sports, horseback riding or horseback riding. donkey, fishing (fish farming in a mountain setting ... great for children to fish and cook trout on the spot!), outdoor thermal hot water pool and wellness center (massages ..) 15 minutes from the cottage, all in an exceptional environment ... From the estate, you can go for beautiful hikes or mountain biking and enjoy the view of the Pic de Bugarach (1231 m.), walk to Rennes le Château (3 km) rich in its mysteries ... Known worldwide, it is a charming little village with restaurants, bars.

A lovely property and very helpful hosts. Very remote but peaceful with two very well behaved sheep dogs to welcome us as well.Thank you for a wonderful stay and of course the eggs!

Rural setting was truly peaceful. A quietness that is rare in today's world. location was ideal to travel around the medieval villages and to visit the 13th C castles

Really outside town

We booked this just for an overnight stay. Excellent - the host was so kind to provide us with some wine (for me) and a beer (for my wife). Everything needed was present. There is no ability to cook - that's chambre d'hotes style apparently. But there is a small oven. It wasn't that warm but the heating was swift and good. Good bed: we slept well. In the morning a breakfast was served at the agreed upon time - with a piece of warm cake.

If you want something a bit off the trail, quiet, includes everything you need, you want to stay with Annie Claude. We had a wonderful rest and able to visit the local attractions. We were able to sit outside until dark and entertained by their dogs and sheep.

Great stay at Gite des Patiasses

Really enjoyed our stay. The gite is situated in a picturesque spot in the hills above Couiza and was a good base for visiting the Cathar castles, local towns and villages. The gite was very clean and well equipped. We had plenty of space to relax in after our trips out, good garden area & barbecue. Annie-Claude and her husband were very welcoming and helpful, with good advice about the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Carl & David

Very nice spacious apartment and friendly host. Spectacular views as the Gîte was up a mountain with long winding roads. Two friendly dogs welcomed us. Kitchen nicely fitted out and well equipped all round. The surrounding area is full of historic castles and abbeys. Unfortunately for us, the WiFI did not function well… and we needed it for our project.

Excellent séjour dans un environnement champêtre, tres calme.Le logement est spacieux, avec une tres grande pièce à vivre, et une cuisine ouverte fonctionnelle. Belle terrasse privative bien exposée à l'est.Notre hôtesse est très réactive et disponible. Petit bémol, la connexion Wi-Fi est tres instable, à améliorer. L'emplacement du gîte est parfait pour explorer le pays Cathare et ses châteaux. De nombreux plans d'eau permettent de se rafraîchir après les randonnées. C'est un gîte où nous reviendrions avec plaisir.

Un emplacement calme, des hôtes sympathiques, de très belles promenades à proximités du gîtes. Depuis celui-ci nous avons pu rayonnés en voitures pour faire les visites de nombreux chateaux. Nous avons adoré nos 10 jours passés là-bas.

Eindrucksvolle Landschaft

Das Ferienhaus liegt ruhig und fern von allem Touristen-Trubel auf einem Berg inmitten von Wald und Wiesen. Dennoch ist es nicht einsam, da zwei freundliche Hunde die Bewachung übernehmen und manchmal die Glöckchen der Schafe zu hören sind. Das Ferienhaus ist geräumig, gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz mit seinen zwei Schlafzimmern. Wenn es kalt ist, gibt es eine gut funktionierende Heizung. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, geben gerne Auskunft bei Fragen, lassen aber auch den Gästen ihre Privatsphäre. So ist dieses Haus ein idealer Ort, um sich zu erholen und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, Mountainbiketouren und Besichtigungsfahren nach Carcasonne und ins Katharerland.

Rien de particulier à signaler, sinon que le séjour fut excellent tout comme les rapports particulièrement attentionnés des propriétaires. Il faudrait toutefois préciser qu'à cette hauteur, les températures ne sont pas forcément celles du niveau de la mer.
