We had a “home away from home” surrounded by gorgeous views and just 20 miles away from the city. We stayed in “Inisfree”…one of the carriage house apartments. Filled with lovely antique furniture and art and beautifully decorated. We stayed for a week and we looked forward to returning “home” at the end of each day of sight seeing. "The place is right next to the train station so it was easy to find. Especially if this is your first time to Sligo. It is a nice quiet street but near to the main area. Very walkable. The quirkiness to the place is the bathroom is one level down from the rooms so if you get up at night it can be tricky navigating the Irish stairs (steeper than US). Lovely place and would do it again."

Off the beaten path so you are removed from the crazy of Galway City yet just about 30 min and you’re right there in the thick of it! Plenty of rooms/beds, en-suite bathrooms/showers in all the upstairs rooms which was grand! The grounds are beautiful, the host & hostess are very nice and responsive with any questions. "Great, central location in Ireland. Could drive to Galway, Clanmacnoise, Rock of Cashel, Burren, Dublin area easily and be back. All within two hours, some even 20 minutes. Parking great and walked to pubs, music, groceries, etc. 8 family including kids. Kids loved the loft area and family loved main dining/living area. Beds basic and comfortable, price was great for family budget! Thanks Sean!"
