Reception staff were excellent and provided perfect information on local swimming holes. We stayed in 61B. Nice room in amongst nature, but be prepared for your very early morning alarm clock of the deer bellowing in the surround bushland.

The property is the best there is around in that area and only a 15min drive to Thredbo. Great for families and has so many amenities for all whether you have small children, teenage children or a getaway for 2 there is something at the resort for everyone. Whether your a skier or a bush walker this is the place for you.

We had a wonderful time at Oaks Crackenback, our chalet was very nice, view was great. Kitchen was well equipped, lots of space and overall very comfy. 8 year old son enjoyed the golf, archery and pool.

Fantastic stay

Fantastic stay complete with wildlife, good weather and spectacular sunsets. Room very comfortable. Only dissapointment was that the restaurant was closed in the evenings (food in the bistro was very good, but more limited menu and not the same ambiance as lakeside restaurant)

it was very nice relaxing and quiet. the facilities at the resort was really nice. reception was very friendly and helpful. however, the water heater and water pressure in the studio toilet was lukewarm and low pressure. we did not stay long enough to request fixes with reception.

Relaxing stay.

Disappointed with lack of free wifi. Not available in studio apartment and only working in cafe, so not before 10 am and not after it had closed. Was offered an hour for $10! No air conditioning and was quite hot during the afternoon.

Absolutely beautiful location

Lake Crackenback Resort is amazingly beautiful. I love this place. Each time I’ve stayed the accomodation has been modern, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. All rooms have great views. Nature is at your doorstep. It’s pricey but worth it!

Despite the wet weather, we had a great time at the resort. Lots of walks and animals to see. Breakfast included was ok. No housekeeping during the stay which was odd.

Beautiful location; chalet itself nice but no wifi; no clothes hangers; no batteries in aircon remotes; tennis courts in dangerous disrepair- ran into falling, rusted metal surrounding/enclosure; clearly no maintenance in a very long time; breakfast was always cold (ie the ‘hot’ food; shrivelled mushrooms; cold ‘toast’; cold roasted tomatoes; dinner really average despite cost; oysters not fresh - stuck to shell.). If l were an owner, I’d be worried about the quality of services offered by resort. I wouldn’t return.

Wonderful place near ski tube. We had a huge 2 bedroom Chalet with heaps of room and space and comfy beds. Breakfast could be improved.
