"The house is very cute. Check-in was very easy. All downhill from there. The house was infested with lady bugs. There were thousands of live and dead bugs everywhere. On the couch, on the beds, dishes in the cabinets, literally everywhere. Messaged host and she said its mother nature and to leave if we want. This is in middle of woods, not a lot of options to up and leave. We spent first hour cleaning bugs. I messaged that this was not just a few bugs, that this was an infestation and that there was no reason to have dead bugs everywhere- that it should have been cleaned prior to us coming. Host messaged we could use vacuum to clean. Next morning, I messaged several times again about issue and that also the bathroom door literally fell off. Host never replied. We went to leave for our activities and realized we left a water bottle, tried to go back inside and we were locked out! Messaged host- no response. Spent an hour on the phone with VRBO, they tried to contact her multiple times. We sent them videos and pictures of bugs and trying to get in house. We could not get a response from host. Luckily we left a window open (to air out the house, because this is not a non-smoking house!) and my daughter climbed through a window so we could get our stuff. We left the property. Host messaged a bit later that she was at house. and agreed to refund money for our stay, but also added that house was clean when we checked in, despite pics I sent with dead bugs everywhere! "

"Ac needs an update, or add window units. Beautiful stay and beautiful location. About 7 minutes from the river. Train runs in front at 1am and 4am just a heads up. "
