We had a lovely long-weekend at the Dutch Barns One to celebrate a birthday. Facilities at the barn are very good with comfy beds, great shower/bathroom/decent kitchen etc. We had to stock up on dishwasher tablets and the salt dispenser was dry; however these are first-world problems. We loved the hot-tub (& a view to die for) and a lovely safe slate-garden for the dogs to chill in. Biggest issue was sporadic wifi and therefore use of the TV (apps) of an evening. Though I guess if you want to be away from things, this is potentially an asset! Although it is remote, it's not far from the main A road that cuts N-S from Caernarfon to Porthmadog so a great location. We were there early-March so pre-season; therefore quite a lot of the local amenities were shut - but that's to be expected. Fortunately Cadwaladers in Cricceth was still open for the most amazing ice-cream sundaes, as was the fish & chip shop (to be enjoyed for sure) and, of course, its amazing beach - 24/7 if you so fancy ;)
