"Average at best. Not particularly hospitable. I was locked out of my room twice. I met a lovely elderly lady in her zimmer staed on my corridor,who was also having difficulty accessing her room. I offered to help. When that wasn't feasible I then went down to the reception. I rang the buzzer 3 times. Just no staff. Bags of rubbish left in the corridor. Fruit flies in my room suggest it may well be needing a look in to regards to hygiene. I did extend my stay, mainly due to mobility issues, but I doubt very much that I'll be back. A shame as it's a decent area. More effort is needed."

"Stayed solo for a week for local business and discussions. Accomodation basic but clean and suitable for someone who's main need is a bed/breakfast but probably not for anyone looking for a relax and hotel-main stay - though not really advertised as such. Beds harder generally but comfortable. Heater in room needed as it got cold but bedding more geared to heat. Owners/Employees very friendly and acommodating - probably the most commendable part. Willing to even sit down with me and chat as a solo traveller which was a lovely gesture. Really good at highlighting local sites and things to see/do which, while I didn't need, was laudable. The food is basic pub-grub but suitable for when you just need a meal and bed - there's better places around to eat out for sure but it won't cause any dramas. Topped up amenities (tea/coffee/bottled water) each day. Rooms cleaned to a standard that offers no complaint. Clearly still in development - lots of loose pallets and damaged furniture outside but off season and new management so again, makes sense. Would recommend as a local bolt-hole for visiting local family or if spending majority out of the hotel. Some work to do to make it the same worth price wise as other Hotels in the area but clear potential."

"Unfortunate that our room had been previously occupied by a heavy smoker. Windows are sealed and air con doesn’t work, so air cannot move. Otherwise it would have been a nice stay. Clean bathroom, big smart tv. Clean bedding."

"Overall look of the hotel outside and inside is tired, looks like something from the 80s. Evening meal was ok, but the service was extremely slow considering there was only 6 of us in the dining room. The room itself was ok, bed was reasonably comfy, tv was huge but only basic channels even though it had the capability for Netflix etc, it wouldn’t connect to the broadband. Bathroom was very tired, tiles n grouting/sealant round the bath grubby. Went down for breakfast again only a few of us waiting on breakfast and it was slow, coffee out the machine was lukewarm and tasted funny, and the food when it came was horrible, asked for scrambled eggs and it looked like they had mixed some mushed up fried egg through it. sausage and bacon were the cheapest of the cheap, didn’t eat any of it."
