Cuevas de Vinroma Holidays

The location was central. The room and bathroom were much larger than I expected. I was on the 11th /top floor and had a terrace. The terrace was huge with a great city view. I thought I would use the pool, but the pool area was small and my terrace with a table, 4 chairs, and 2 lounge chairs felt more spacious. The room furnishings were a little worn, and there were a couple minor maintenance issues, but the staff was helpful.  The included breakfast buffet was plentiful with many options. Front desk staff spoke English and everyone was friendly and politely fumbled with me and my Google translator when they didn't speak English. Housekeeping comes late in the day ( 2ish), which maybe was because I was the top floor. The Wifi was strong. It was a working holiday for me, and I spent a lot of time on my laptop at the table, which had sufficient shade on the fabulous terrace. I stuck my head in the gym, thinking I would use it, but they didn't have light weights (3s and I didn't see 5s) and it was very hot in there. Valencia is an amazing City for walking and biking, so I did not need to use the cardio equipment, which seemed sufficient. Overall great value for the price.

Definitely not a four star....a three start at best. No gym or pool. No amenities in the bathroom which you would expect. Requested a queenside on my booking 9 months ago, that didn't happen. Went to see reception straight away and advised me two single beds put together is all they had on the day The only savings grace it is next to the tourist attraction and on top of a shopping centre if you need food. Vegetarian will find it difficult as everything has meat in it. Sanoma a restaurant in the centre was my savings grace, beautiful food and superb service and very reasonable. This is the first time I have written anything bad about any place I have ever booked But unfortunately I have to tell the truth.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences of our trip to Spain. The hotel knew we were celebrating our honeymoon and a birthday, making it even more disappointing. From check-in, the front desk employee was dismissive and unfriendly, making us feel unwelcome. We also weren’t told that the gym required reservations. When I went to use it, it was fully booked. Another couple told us they had been informed of this at check-in. We also had issues with the A/C and coffee maker. To be fair, we didn’t report these at the time, but our initial experience at Reception left us with little confidence in seeking help. Ultimately, we were unhappy enough to leave a full day early, walk away from a room we’d already paid for, and pay for another hotel. A supervisor apologized, but management refused to refund our unused night. We weren’t asking for a full refund, just the night we didn’t use as a gesture of goodwill. Their response defended the hotel but never meaningfully acknowledged the poor customer service that started our experience. I asked them to reconsider and received no response. We travel frequently and understand not every stay is perfect. What matters is how guests are treated when things go wrong. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again. Hope this experience doesn’t happen to anyone else and that this review can be helpful.
