This little cottage felt like my family’s summer cottage on the bay in Maryland. If you are looking for a super modern home, this isn’t it. It was a bit of a hodge podge of furniture and décor but had a comfortable homey feel that I can appreciate. It was quiet, clean and had plenty of space for our family. We didn’t cook while we were there so I can’t speak much to the kitchen equipment, aside from the toaster and microwave for quick breakfasts. The laundry room was great to have. We did bring laundry soap from home, but there was some to use if you hadn’t, so that was nice. Upstairs the bedrooms were decent sized. The primary bedroom with the windows all the way across the back of the house was really neat! The only thing I found quite odd, and I was not a fan of, is that the ensuite bathroom is completely open to the bedroom. Zero privacy in that one. All three bathrooms had really nice walk-in showers with benches and toiletries available if you forgot your own. The water pressure and temps were great, which is a big deal after swimming in the lake all day! The use of the dock was awesome. While I know the home is in a very wooded area, the veranda could use a good bit of cleaning up. The owner was very responsive when we reached out to him. While the neighborhood feels remote and is all dirt/gravel roads, it’s also in a convenient location to lots of stores and restaurants. We had a wonderful time here. Overall, I recommend this home for your stay on Lake Lanier.
