For days out, head to the award-winning Lindores Abbey Distillery (8 miles) or the Scottish Deer Centre (2 miles). History buffs will love exploring Falkland Palace (8 miles), a Renaissance treasure with royal connections and beautifully kept gardens. Fancy a day on the coast? Drive to St Andrews (14 miles) – with its world-famous Old Course – or tour the East Neuk of Fife, where quaint fishing villages, hidden coves and the Fife Coastal Path promise plenty of seaside charm.

The rear hall gives access to the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. A sunroom with doors to the garden creates a lovely spot for morning coffee. Upstairs are two beautifully styled bedrooms – a king-size and a double.
