Half term break
This property is a real gem. We really appreciated the attention to detail in making this stay special. The property itself is beautiful and spacious with lovely views. The wood burner made the autumn stay so homely and a treat to come back to at the end of the day. The girls loved the piano ( a little tuning would make it even better), the games and fantastic large TV. The kitchen had everything needed and more we particularly appreciated the slow cooker. The welcome packages and fresh flowers made us feel very welcome.

Great long weekend stay in a beautiful quiet cottage
My partner, two daughters aged 8 - 10 our staffy and I had a great few days in this beautiful cottage. Susan was an excellent host even before we arrived and we had everything we needed for our stay thanks to the amazing welcome pack. There was plenty for our girls to do as we opted for a stay in break and the cottage was a delight and charm to stay in. We loved it. Thank you.

Lovely Cottage in the Scottish countryside
Perfect cottage for our holiday week! The hostess answered all my questions in a timely manner prior to our arrival, which was instrumental in my trip planning. The charming cottage was well equipped with all amenities - even including bread, milk and eggs! The cottage is located in a beautiful part of the country with pretty local towns nearby. I would definitely return for another wonderful holiday.

Great stay
Just home after a lovely long weekend spent at this property. Great communication with Susan the owner and clear directions for finding the property. Stayed here with two girls aged almost 12 and 14, and they loved all the outdoor and indoor games choices. Dog came too and inner garden was well fenced off and secure. Outer field area we kept him on a long line. Perfect accommodation for what we needed and we’re definitely hoping to be back.

WINDRUSH
We had a lovely stay at Windrush. It is a beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet setting but still close to amenities. The cottage has everything you need from a fully equipped kitchen, log burner, toiletries, xbox, books, games to its own 3 hole golf course. Communication with the owners was great. We hope to return soon.

Very enjoyable - of (f) course*
Had a really enjoyable stay. Couldn't get Netflix to work on the first night so Barry came round to sort it out. Susan was most apologetic but not her fault at all. Appears previous people had changed cables round!! Had good fun on the mini golf even though we spent more time *off the course! Spent a lot of time looking for lost balls but we:dcertainly improved by the end of the week. Plenty of good walks in the area and also went to the Secret Bunker near Anstruther - well worth a visit. Not cold use enough to use the log burner but I would imagine in winter it makes the place very cosy. Susan left a very generous welcome pack which we much appreciated.

Happy days in Fife
Lovely clean well equipped cottage set in peaceful countryside. Hosts very welcoming and friendly. Ideal setting for a holiday with our 4 legged friend lots to explore in the area plenty of lovely walks and blue flagged beaches nearby. Enjoyed exploring the Fife coast but always looked forward to returning to the cottage where we were lucky enough to enjoy a couple of barbeques on the terrace. Local village of Ceres very pretty with good amenities well stocked Spar and a lovely butchers shop and local pub. Added bonus only 9 mins drive away from a Michelin starred restaurant where we were lucky enough to be able to get a table. Even though the property is remote lots to do in the region 1week not enough

Superb cottage!
Spent 7 nights in this wonderful cottage as a family of 4 plus dog. The place is fantastic and has everything we could have asked for. So much for the kids to do without leaving the garden! 3 hole golf course, archery, small football pitch, nerf guns, Xbox and much more!! Susan and Barry were fab hosts and always there (via phone messages thanks to Covid) to answer any questions I had about the area. The cottage is so well equipped as well. Traditional decor and a real homely atmosphere. Thanks to the nice weather we didn’t need the log burner but I can only imagine how cosy it would be sitting on the new chairs by the fire. Large enclosed garden is safe for the dog to roam freely. He also had a great holiday!! Only 15 minutes from St Andrew’s where there is also so much to do. I cannot recommend this place highly enough for a visit and hope to return soon.

Doggy/friendly weekend country escape
We just came back from a lovely stay. Susanne was helpful and friendly, making sure that we got there safe and leaving some milk, bread, shortbread and oatcakes in the kitchen. The bathroom was spotless, and there was everything you need, towels, soap, cotton buds etc. The highlight of the cottage is definitely the living room, such a big spacious space with 2 tvs, sofas, armchairs and a lovely fireplace. Our dog loved sitting by the fire! Not to mention how peaceful it is outside, we went for a relaxed walk in the fields, and Ceres and Cupar are a stone's throw away. Definitely recommend and we hope to be back!! Thank you for everything Susan!

Absolutely beautiful home with everything you could wish for on a short break. The rural location provides a great escape whilst being a very short drive from Ceres and only twenty minutes drive from St Andrews. Our only regret was that it wasn’t cold enough to put the log burner on. Spotlessly clean, and fantastic communication from our hosts Absolutely no hesitation in recommending the property to anyone looking for a rural break with easy access to all the tourist spots in a beautiful part of Scotland.

Great house in good location
We’ve stayed in a lot of holiday accommodation and this house is one of the best. The house is bright and spacious plus there are an excellent selection of items to keep a family entertained; pool table, pitch & putt, football goal, badminton set, archery set (suckers on arrows), DVDs, Netflix & Xbox. The house is set in the countryside but is central for exploring the East Neuk. The owners live nearby but we never met them due to COVID-19 precautions; communication was via email and the owners were prompt and helpful. The house was very clean with plenty of antibacterial products available e.g. wipes & cleaning products. Would be our first choice when revisiting the area.

Absolutely great- we had a wonderful time!
This is a jewel of a property in an idyllic location, perfect to get away from it all but only minutes by car from St Andrews and outlying villages. We were met by Susan who was so welcoming and informative with a Welcome Pack that coveeed all we needed for our first night! The cottage was immaculate but cosy and warming. Our dogs also enjoyed the experience- lots of space to run - acres of room but well enclosed so no danger from traffic or to other animals. They, like us, did not want to leave!

Great family cottage, easy drive to St Andrews
My wife and two children 10 & 11 stayed at Windrush on the first part of our Scotland Holiday. The home was located in a very picturesque location and was very well equipped. The main purpose of our visit was to play golf and spend time in St Andrews. The drive to City Centre and the St Andrews clubhouse was an easy 15 minute drive. There is also a 3 hole pitching course that my family and I enjoyed one evening as the sun began to set. Great memories for all!

Beautiful property in a very nice quiet location.
Our impressions of the property from the site photographs were only enhanced by our viewing of the actual property. As described, it was certainly spacious with very nice and comfortable furnishings. I was only there with my wife (and our dog) but I am sure the property could easily accommodate another 2-3 people without feeling crowded. Susan, the owner, was there to greet us on our arrival and to show us around the property and it’s workings and also provided us with a good ‘starter pack’ of tea, coffee, milk, bread etc. She was also very informative of the local amenities and places to go including telling us of the ‘Chariots of Fire’ 2018 run which was taking place on the West Sands of St. Andrews the day after our arrival. Whilst she did not know what time this was being held, she promised to find out and did not disappoint by telling us later of the starting time. She had also gone out of her way to provide the lounge with a fan as (unusually) the weather had been very warm although, as luck would have it, the North Sea haar came in the first two days of our break and meant we did not have to utilise it, but we appreciated the thought. The property has good grounds and, by parking outside the main gates and keeping these closed, we were able to let our dog wander the gardens without fear of her getting out and, worse, troubling the sheep in the nearby fields. The location is, as described, rural with, other than the owners property and some farm buildings, no other buildings in the immediate vicinity. However, it is only a short drive into the village of Ceres and the rather larger town of Cupar is only a few miles further on. All of the town/villages of Fife are within relatively easy reach by car. As regards eating out, Susan had recommended, amongst others, Meldrums Hotel in Ceres which is dog-friendly as they are allowed in the bar and we ate there on a couple of occasions and thoroughly enjoyed the meals provided. All-in-all, we were very pleased with our stay and would have no hesitation in going back in the future.

Spacious, extremely-well appointed cottage with great attention to detail, in the heart of some lovely countryside, . Weather was a bit iffy but the cottage had everything we could need - even an X-Box and Wii for those of us who haven't grown up yet! Susan was very friendly and helpful, and the Welcome Pack was a nice bonus. Warm and well-lit, with a collection of DVDs, books, games, and magazines, this is a great place to get away. The log burner was amazing and used to full effect. We would highly recommend a stay at Windrush Cottage.

A superb autumn holiday
From the moment we arrived we were made welcome in this delightful cottage. The welcome food pack and guided tour of the cottage were much appreciated, but then after that Susan left us alone ,but we knew she was nearby should we have any problems. The cottage is warm, comfortable and blissfully quiet and for us very dog friendly. All our needs were catered for. We frequently stay in cottages , often 5 star and certainly this one is very well equipped.. including an X box and wii , which my huband and I had a great laugh having a go at ! Nearby Ceres is gorgeous and has butchers , a Spa shop, dog friendly cafe and pubs.. Lots to see and do in the area and also several farmshops selling lovely produce too, if you prefer to eat in. We saw deer in the next field within an hour of arriving, This truly is a special place, I am sure we will be back.

Paradise for Kids and dogs, makes for happy holiday.
This house was fabulous, we were met by Susan on arrival who was very welcoming and gave us details of a few things that may interest the kids, so glad about that we went to the Muddy place and the kids had a ball, and we had a ball too. The house itself is fantastic and I cannot think of one thing that I would recommend to improve the stay. Susan and family live next to the cottage but were never intrusive, but advised that if anything was needed just to pop next door. Thanks for a great stay.
