Perfect for a relaxing getaway, this unique retreat combines modern comforts with the warmth of Dahlonega’s local charm. Blue Door, Dahlonega provides a comfy and clean home base for your special occasion or relaxing getaway.

Step into the second-floor great room, where you’ll feel like you’re perched among the treetops. The open-concept living area flows into a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for preparing meals after a day of adventure. Unwind on the comfy full-size pullout couch with a gel foam mattress, perfect for movie nights—just bring your streaming passwords! The adjacent deck is your front-row seat to seasonal sunsets over the trees, creating the perfect ambiance after a day of hiking, wine tasting, or panning for gold. A convenient half bath completes the upstairs.

Downstairs, you’ll find two cozy bedrooms: one with a queen bed and the other with a full bed, both designed for restful nights. A full bathroom on the first floor ensures convenience for all guests.

Every piece of artwork in Blue Door is crafted by local Dahlonega artists, sourced from the vibrant Town Square, adding a touch of authentic mountain culture to your stay.

Spring Break Visit

We were looking for a getaway to enjoy spring break and we found it with Blue Door. The house was very nice, clean and well stocked with whatever we needed during our stay. It was a great place to return to after a long day of sight seeing.

Wonderfully Peaceful!

What an absolutely wonderful stay! The owner went above and beyond to make this truly a wonderful place to rest and relax. It was so clean and comfortable. The location is beautiful. By far the best place we’ve ever stayed in before. We would definitely come back again.

Girls weekend

The property was absolutely perfect for our girls get away. Perfectly clean and comfortable. The owner has thought of everything with this rental. The coffee, tea and snack set up made you feel like you were staying at a high end hotel! The setting is so peaceful and woodsy. It’s also very close to everything in town and the surrounding areas. Would love to stay again.

Wonderful, clean home

The Blue Door was perfect for our quick getaway! It was so clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the deck in the mornings and the rooster across the way. There were so many thoughtful extras-snacks, condiments, spices, blankets, games-that made our stay extra special. We enjoyed tubing with the Appalachian Outfitters and a meal at Bourbon Street at the square in Dahlonega. Would definitely stay again.

Great Getaway!!

Very very clean, which is one of my top priorities. The inside is modern and has great fixtures. Loved all the windows! The bed was comfortable. Our pup absolutely loved the top balcony! Thank you for the treats that were available - great selection. ☺️ We would love to make this an annual fall trip. The weather was perfect.

We just spent a wonderful week at Blue Door. The house is brand new and beatufully furnished. High speed internet worked great as well as streaming on both TVs in the living room and main bedroom. The house was clean and smelled great and we loved the many special touches throughout. Very professionally managed. We will be back!

Cute, clean, and well-appointed!

My best friend and I were looking for a cozy place to stay for a long weekend and we loved Blue Door! It was everything we could’ve hoped for. We appreciated the thoughtfulness that went into supplying the house with everything we could possibly need. It was clean, spacious, and perfect for two adults. There was ample storage for all of our clothing, supplies, etc. Check-in and check-out was very simple (load towels if you can, otherwise just lock the door on your way out). Both tvs had Netflix, there was a great Bluetooth speaker for listening to music, tons of blanket options (perfect for winter), fans in the bedrooms, etc. We loved Blue Door and highly recommend it!

5 plus stars is what Kim deserves . Immaculate is a understatement . Very well appointed with just enough local fare . Everything is super new , we have stayed in numerous VRBO rentals the last 10 -12 years and this may be the best . Very comfortable beds , nice linens , Vera Wang Towels ..........not something you would expect in a rental and a Kitchen that was loaded with brand new plates , flatware , pans and everything else ! The location is just a short 10 minute off the square and easy to find . You would be hard pressed to find any fault with The Blue Door as your choice !
