"First night booked in a room facing the Durty Nellie - this is a party location - staff were great moving us the following day to a quieter room. Only thing we weren’t fans of is the toilet was behind closed doors and the sink on the outside of it. The room facilities were great, we were very comfortable. Only recommendation is to get softer towels - they were a bit rough however replenished daily and clean"

"The property is an 1862 three level townhouse in downtown Halifax. It is only a short two block walk to the restaurants at Bishops Landing, the Halifax harbour boardwalk, and one block to the Keith's Brewery Market. There isn't an elevator but this wasn't an issue for us 70+ seniors Our room was on the third floor. The room was tidy, nicely decorated and comfortable; however, there was a strong scent of cleaning detergent (javex) in the bathroom. As well, the sheets and towels were highly fragranced. If you are scent sensitive, this might not be the place to stay. The owners were quick to respond. We would stay there again for location if not for the scent issue."

"The most accommodating staff! They were so helpful when our travel plans changed and we didn’t arrive until nearly 3am. There was the most stunning view from the corner room we had (I’m biased because Halifax is home to me and seeing Grafton Street outside my window is magical), and the most comfortable bed (a king actually has king-sized pillows is so rare to find in a hotel)! Would stay there again in a heartbeat. (Adding the only photos I took of the room/view even though they focus a little more on me/the engagement ring I got while we were staying there!!)"
