"This hotel is vintage. The rooms are old and if you get the economy room its obvious. Spend the extra if you need more space and a decent view. The restaurants have great service. The breakfast vouchers were a blessing to compensate for poor WiFi. All in all it was a C+ and I was ready to go."

"The location of our stay was amazing - BUT we had to fight to get this location after our 1st choice was denied after having already been accepted. Communication with the host was lacking and very stressful. Details should be conveyed in a timely fashion. The pool could have been cleaned more than 2x week. Hydro is costly everywhere. Golf at the BlackPearl is more targeted to the cruises coming in instead of villa guests & members. "

"Highly recommend this house!! Wonderful stay for our group of 8! The home is beautiful, the pool and outdoor area is fantastic, and relaxing on the dock was a highlight. Super clean house and lots of room. We also rented a studio, which worked well for our group.There was a small mildew issue (studio) and the internet was a bit glitchy at times, but the hosts were responsive and did their best to address both.A major highlight was hiring the cooks—Juanita, Sayra, and family. The meals were absolutely delicious and well worth it (bonus: we even got a couple of cooking lessons!). Ever was very helpful with planning before arrival and throughout the week, and Alex took us on a great day trips and to the airport. We felt very welcome and well taken care of—would definitely recommend this family for cooking and planning any outings/tours!"

"Truly the most beautiful beach we saw during our entire time on the island. This private island is absolutely gorgeous. The beach alone makes it worth the visit. The rooms could use some updating, and the food felt more like filler food than anything memorable. That said, the drinks kept coming and the beach was easily the best we experienced anywhere on the island. If you want to avoid crowds and simply enjoy a stunning beach in a peaceful setting, this resort is a great choice. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for them to rebuild. The resort actually burned to the ground the same day we checked out. Quite a shocking end to an otherwise beautiful stay."

"This place is an incredible beach front location, totally private and perfect for snorkeling from shore. You will spend most of your time outside most likely, on the deck or the beach!It also is located in a good spot on the island- not too far from restaurants and the grocery. Or to take day trips to other parts of the island, its central location really is perfect. The house itself is very nice, especially the upstairs but the basement bedrooms & bathrooms could use a refresh and updated."

"The layout of the house is very good. The road to the house we found was actually called Cocoa we never found a sign that told us lt was first bight. The pool was great with great views."

"We loved this property! We are a friends group of 8 (4 couples) that like to escape somewhere warm every year. Location was awesome! We especially loved the patio area, the pool with amazing views, and the large table for family style dinners and games!"
