"Carolina our host was amazing. Great communication - very helpful and always quick to reply. We visited with 4 adult children. Loved the pool and overall the property was really nice. So nice having a big kitchen to cook as a family. We also had Donna the Island Chef come in and cook for us one evening. That was such a nice option vs going out to eat when you want to treat yourself! We also did multiple excursions (fishing and a boat/snorkel) with Captn R Charter and Tours and Reagan was wonderful! Hands down the best guide we’ve ever had!! Another highlight of our trip was the Roatan Brewing Co just a short walk from the house. Fantastic options (not just beer either) the owner and staff are so great too! No matter the time of year you visit the bugs can be bad. We found that Avons skin so soft applied offer all over skin really helped prevent bites. We had a fun time on the island and made lots of memories!"

"Honestly all we can say is WOW! Beautiful house! Great and secure gated community. A host who goes above and beyond with checking in with us throughout the stay and making sure everything is to our satisfaction and also even given us ideas of things to do and places to see. This was a perfect house for a family of 7. Three master bedrooms with master baths for 3 "couples" and the forth master bedroom with bathroom was perfect for kids. No one had to share!The private pool at the house was perfect, clean and a beautiful size. Also another pool at the community center beside the restaurant for all to use was right on the beach with beautiful views. Dive center right on site with the reef being just off the property. This was the best two week vacation we've taken so far!"

"The location of our stay was amazing - BUT we had to fight to get this location after our 1st choice was denied after having already been accepted. Communication with the host was lacking and very stressful. Details should be conveyed in a timely fashion. The pool could have been cleaned more than 2x week. Hydro is costly everywhere. Golf at the BlackPearl is more targeted to the cruises coming in instead of villa guests & members. "

"Truly the most beautiful beach we saw during our entire time on the island. This private island is absolutely gorgeous. The beach alone makes it worth the visit. The rooms could use some updating, and the food felt more like filler food than anything memorable. That said, the drinks kept coming and the beach was easily the best we experienced anywhere on the island. If you want to avoid crowds and simply enjoy a stunning beach in a peaceful setting, this resort is a great choice. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for them to rebuild. The resort actually burned to the ground the same day we checked out. Quite a shocking end to an otherwise beautiful stay."

"The host was welcoming and very helpful. The place is nice and decently stocked. The biggest downside to this place is that you need a means of transportation to do anything. It just happened the golf course was having a tournament so we couldn’t even rent a golf cart or play golf. No fault of the host by any means but make sure that you call the golf course to ensure they are open to the public if you want to golf during your stay. The tournament wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the Black Pearl website so call. The host did help us get a rental car which was super helpful. "
