Small pond in field next to Courtenay Road There were two of these boggy areas in an essentially level field on the highest part of the surrounding area, possibly man made but this one looks almost as though the land has subsided a bit allowing it to hold rainwater.

Dargate Common and the side of Clay Hill Not much of a hill by most standards but Clay Hill at 86 metres is about the highest point from here to the coast at Seasalter 4km away.

Nice stay overall with clean rooms and a good location. The only issue was the shower — the glass screen couldn’t stop water splashing onto the bathroom floor, leaving it very wet and a bit dangerous after use
