Beautiful home and such a dreamy location. You can’t beat the sounds of the river and nature right in the back yard. We really appreciated the accommodations! The hot tub, fire pit, stocked kitchen, comfy beds and also the really good hot water were just the drop in the hat. Great trails nearby as well. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will be back!

We just wanted a quiet get away for a couple of days close to the North Cascades. We had hoped to see the fall foliage but it turned out we came a couple weeks early for the best of that. We stopped by the ranger station there in Darrington, and then drove up to Rockport and on to Newhalem to see what fall leaves we could. The cabin was quiet, clean and cozy. We loved sitting in the hot tub on the back deck and also sitting beside the Sauk River in the back of the property.
We love the sound of the Sauk River rushing by. It is otherwise quiet here. A friendly husky came by to say hi to us a couple times when we were sitting outside. It was a restful stay. The cabin itself is comfortable, well supplied and clean. This is the second time we've come here. I'm sure we will return again.
We loved the Sauk River Cabin! Perfect base for hikes along the Mountain Loop Highway and in North Cascades NP. Great location near Darrington, which has groceries, restaurants, and gas.The cabin itself is wonderful. Very comfy, and the river-side amenities like the fire pit and the lounge chairs on the riverbank make it a great place to hang out between and after explorations.Highly recommended!
Beautiful cabin right on the river. We sat at the river for hours listening to the water and watching the wildlife (birds and beavers!). It was so peaceful and relaxing. A friendly husky came over to say hi a few times. The cabin is well stocked with cookware and spices. We really appreciated the little touches. There were board games and cards, popcorn maker with popcorn, ziploc bags in the kitchen, q-tips in the bathroom, etc. We are planning a return trip in September!
