Very convenient to the slopes!

We really enjoyed staying here! Right next to the Salamander slope making it super convenient for ski in/out. Communication with the owner/rep was excellent!

Family trip

Our yearly trip was centered around Canaan Valley and the location of the house was great. House was clean , well supplied and quiet . Check in and check out was easy and they even gave us extra time to check out . Enjoyed our stay

Great Slopeside cabin.

We enjoyed the Slopeside cabin so much!!! The hot tub was wonderful!! There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own privacy.

Ski in Ski out

We love this cabin. It’s perfect for our pre Christmas celebration. The ski in ski out is the biggest blessing. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean.

Great location

Loved that this house is right on the slopes! Very clean and tidy. Beds felt comfortable and the house was well supplied with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Also had plenty of pots/pans, dishes, and cutlery.

Christmas Ski vacation

Family ski trip

We’ve stayed at this house numerous times for our annual family ski trip. Plenty of space, love that it’s right on Salamander, and the hot tub is always a hit! We are already booked for next year!

Great weekend getaway

We had a group of 11 stay this past weekend and it was amazing! Very spacious and clean. The hot tub was well functioning and clean. The master bedroom was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were great with communication and very accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

Our Long Weekend

We arrived on a Wednesday evening and enjoyed dinner on the deck. We explored the parks and waterfalls o er the next two days and the hot tub was great for getting out the kinks! The house is set up really well and the views are great!

So much space!

This property has so much space to spread out and be comfortable. We had a small group but could have very comfortably been there with many more. It’s an older property but clean and well appointed with everything we could’ve needed. Would definitely stay again next year for the moonlight on the fall race.

2 Wheeled Weekend

Nice slope side cabin for our annual motorcycle trip through the WV twisties. Plenty of room in the cabin and the hot tub was perfect after the rides. The garage is converted into a game room so keep that in mind if you're sensitive about your bike being in the weather.

Mountain Getaway

Was a great house that we enjoyed! Hot tub was clean and enjoyable! It is literally up off of Timberline Ski slope, so thank goodness for GPS to get us there! The only bad is you have to take your garage with you and throw it in a dumpster a couple of miles away! But, overall Great stay.

Quiet family get-together/getaway

House was cozy. We were a big family (3 individual families) with 6 afults and 6 kids ranging from 8-15. The amenities were great. Everyone enjoyed the time together playing pool, building puzzles. Relaxingbin the hot tub, making smores. It was a great little escape to relax and unwind with family. We also enjoyed blackwater falls and the abundance of trails in the area to get out in nature/hiking.

This house was perfectly laid out for our group of friends. Bedrooms with comfy beds above and below the main gathering level, which had many windows to view the slopes/Mother Nature. Rooms on first floor stayed rather cool, while rooms on top floor were rather warm. Spacious kitchen for group cooking, dining table easily accommodated 8, comfy couches and chairs. Owners very responsive. We had a lovely time.

Awesome family vacation

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and worked perfectly for my family.We had 6 adults and 4 children ages 3-12 and we all had the best time.This cabin is situated in such a beautiful area it's very quiet and peaceful with so many opportunities to hike We hiked every day and saw some beautiful waterfalls.I booked this property not only because it's beauty but because booking it and communication was a breeze.I worked with David mostly and he is just the most friendly and easy going guy he's very helpful and wanted to make sure we didn't need anything.we are hoping to be back next year! Thanks again David for sharing your home with us I cannot say enough good things

Clean and spacious

My family and I stayed for a four night ski vacation. The house was exactly as described somewhat outdated, but clean. The hot tub was clean, great and relaxing after a day of skiing. Check-in was easy they gave very specific details and directions. We have plenty of supplies for everything we needed with the exception there was no paper towels. We had no complaints except upon departure. We were required to take all of our garbage approximately 2 to 3 miles down the road to a dumpster, which was a little inconvenient. Other than that we had no complaints and would highly recommend this for a large family on a budget.

Perfect!

This house is beautiful and perfect for a long family vacation or a couple enjoying a long weekend! The location is great for hiking in the off winter season and just as perfect for out the door skiing. The house has pretty much anything you could want. Absolutely the cleanest house we have stayed in at Canaan, and we have stayed in over 20 rentals there over the years. Hot tub is the best experienced! We had a wonderful time and we will absolutely return to this beautiful home! Also, the owner David even called to check on us during our stay and offer a discount to stay an additional day. Above and beyond the best stay EVER! Definitely don’t pass this gem up!!
