Relaxing gals get-away

Everything was wonderful, the only inconvenience was hauling the trash out to a dumpster up the road a ways. We would definitely stay here again!

Rippling Waters

This is a beautiful cabin set next to a rippling stream. The cabin has all that you'd need to spend time in the mountains! Rita was very responsive with us throughout the stay and would definitely come back again.

Rippling waters getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Stayed in April and was so nice to be in between seasons. We are not snow skiers but were very impressed by the size of slopes and the facilities around the area. Did some amazing and breathtaking hiking. Dolly Sods is located right up the mountain. Enjoyed the hot tub and the babbling run. Very relaxing. Would recommend!

Great weekend in Canaan

Lovely house with excellent access to hiking, skiing, and taking in the sound of the backyard stream while enjoying the hot tub. A excellent weekend getaway.

Anniversary Trip

House was in a perfect location and hot tub was amazing by the creek. We hiked 6 miles around Blackwater Falls; definitely check it out!

Fantastic Stay

Great Base for Mountain Adventures!

Really easy booking and checking in. Clean and well kept house and deck. Used it to explore the Davis, Thomas, Canaan and Seneca Rocks areas. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

Perfect Getaway!

This was the perfect destination for our “escape” & celebration of 53 years together! The property and secluded location couldn’t have been better… with nature’s beauty of autumn! The home was so nice and surpassed our expectations. We appreciate all involved in making this such a memorable visit!

Timberline Stay

We loved the cabin and the mountain feel! The creek in the back, while sitting in the hot tub was the best scenery we could have imagined! It was easy to get to and not a hill, so every easy to manage while it snowed. We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend!

Rippling Waters is a wonderful home away from home. All the amenities are well thought thru, the beds are comfortable, the location is ideal, in a quiet, private area yet close enough to town and other attractions. The owner was very helpful and considerate. We highly recommend this gem.

Stay at Rippling Waters

We loved our stay at Rippling Waters. The house is beautiful and we had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. The location is great, close to lots of great hiking. I would return to this property, for sure. Only two small complaints: The hot tub being far from the house was a problem with the bad weather and the carpet was badly in need of a clean.

Peaceful and refreshing experience

Enjoyed my 2nd rental of this property. It was well-maintained and wifi had been upgraded. Very secluded and quiet neighborhood with families. Owner has a detailed process and requires a few duties from guests but not onerous. Recommend for a family or 2 couples but not large groups.

A dream come true!!!

This place was completely amazing! Clean and cozy, no pictures could do this place justice. The hot tub was great especially after exploring. The bed in the downstairs bedroom was like heaven I don’t think I’ve ever slept that well especially with the window open with the creek in the background. I can not stress this enough you need to stay here!

Peaceful retreat

This was a great property- it provided a calming setting and ample space for my trip. There are some great hiking options all within a 20 minute or less drive. The kitchen was well-stocked with any cooking utensils you might need. I was working on a writing project while there and the internet worked great. I enjoyed sitting at the dining table to work with the door open to hear the stream behind the property. I would stay here again.

Perfect hiking getaway

Rippling Waters was the perfect spot for our hike at Dolly Sods. The hot tub soothed our aching muscles and sagging spirits after a day of soggy hiking. The house comfortably accommodated five of us. We had every amenity we needed, included a fully equipped kitchen, comfy chairs for lounging and a large dining table for meals and games. David was a responsive host from our first interaction - professional, flexible and welcoming at all times.

Ski Getaway

We recently spent a memorable, long weekend in this cozy home. The convenience to the slopes is only beat by the gorgeous backyard view and hot tub! The home accommodated two families very nicely. The owners were very helpful and provided detailed directions to their home and thorough instructions on how to care for the house. We are already considering a return visit this summer so we can enjoy all that Caanan has to offer in the warm weather! We definitely recommend this home.

Rippling Waters

Our family has been vacationing in Canaan Valley for about 20 years. Because we enjoy skiing at Timberline & want to do lots of it when we are there, it's important that we have easy access to the slopes. Rippling Waters has convenient slopeside access, along with a clean & comfortable home, well-stocked with essentials and everything in working order. We have also stayed in other Canaan Home Properties--Robyn's Nest & Mountain Near and have been very pleased. We have rented other properties in the area, but prefer to rent from this owner. The owners are responsive & accommodating, even when we've booked at the last minute or changed our minds.

Calm and Relaxing

The house was very well maintained and clean. The property is great, with the deck, hot tub, fire pit and babbling brook running through the back. When you are outside it feels like you are alone in the woods. About 15 minutes from the town of Davis. Family of 6 fit just right, two bedrooms upstairs for the kids and the master is on the main level. Plenty to do in the summer. We enjoyed horseback riding (Yokums in Seneca), caverns, white water rafting on the Cheat (BOA), hiking and exploring Blackwater and Dolly Sods and Caanan Valley. Sitting in the hot tub at night listening to the brook and watching the fireflies come out was great. The fire pit was also right next to the creek, enjoyed roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Hiked up the ski slope for stargazing one night. We had breakfast and lunch at the house most days, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Great info and communication from the owner, you can tell they have been doing this for a while and know how to make the home as welcoming as possible.
