What once was a spectacular residence, now hotel, has not been maintained. It's too bad as I do believe if you are to acquire this type of building, you should be committed to maintaining it. I was disappointed with my stay. I stayed for two days and my room wasn't cleaned for two days consecutively. After asking the front desk it was cleaned. I think there were bed bugs because I go over 15 bites on my back, arms and hands in one evening, and proceeded to get them over the next two nites. The expedia site page said laundry services were offered but was told by the hotel that wasn't offered. They said the outsourced service no longer was doing their hotel. I told them they should have updated their website to reflect this as I specifically booked with them for those services. I would have booked someplace else had I known. There are rodents or birds in the air ducts. I stayed on the third floor of the 2nd building. I could hear them running in the air ducts.

Perfect location a 2 minutes walk to the main boat/bridge area. A really good/big bathroom. Asked for Twin room and got it. Heat wave while we was there so the air conditioning was amazing. 100% will return.

Everything was wonderful! Location, facilities, service! Not a complaint at all! Our room was amazing! The check in went without any problems, even had our room ready early before we even asked! She recommended restaurants, showed us on a map where to find everything! So friendly and helpful! Wonderful room and charming facility.

Quiet hotel right along the canal and close enough to the historic center to be convenient but just far away enough to be quiet and away from the masses. We stayed in the summer and appreciated the in-room air conditioner and refrigerator. The hotel was clean and staff very friendly. They always had a full pitcher of ice-cold water at the check-in counter. There are some lovely canal views, a tram stop nearby, and Donkey Bike parking just down each adjoining street. The only real negative for our room (ground floor) was that whenever we entered our room, we would smell an unpleasant drainage odor. We'd get used to the smell so it didn't bother us the whole time, but just something to note.
