Our stay at the converted farmhouse in De Waal was very enjoyable. Corrie & Rob care about their property and clearly provide as much in the way of amenities as possible. De Waal is a small, quiet village with Den Burg easily reachable. I would recommend staying here.
Die Lage der Wohnung unschlagbar, die komplette Insel war nur mit Rädern erkundbar.Die Wohnung ist insgesamt doch sehr in die Jahre gekommen - ein bisschen 70-er-Jahre-Stil, aber supersauber und mit allem, was man sich wünschen kann eingerichtet.Einziges Manko: das Bett! Es steht direkt unter der Schräge, sodass man sich nicht aufsetzen und anlehnen kann. Des Weiteren ein Dachbalken mitten über dem Bett, ich habe mir einmal richtig schlimm den Kopf angestoßen!Die Treppe zu den Schlafzimmern sehr tricky, sodass wir emofehlen möchten: Wohnung nur von fitten Menschen mit älteren Kindern buchbar, aber wir würden jederzeit wieder bei Corrie und Rob buchen.
Unkomplizierter Empfang durch die Gastgeber, sehr gut ausgerüstete Küche, Parkplatz vor dem Haus, Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss nur durch Wendeltreppe erreichbar, Bad/WC/Lavabo im Erdgeschoss, idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge innerhalb Texel mit dem Auto, gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im nahegelegenen Den Burg, Naturschutzgebiet Waalenburg in nächster Nähe, kurze Distanzen zu den Hotspots für Vogel-/Naturbeobachtungen auf der Insel. Wetter war sehr wechselhaft mit Sonne, Regen, Graupelschauern, viel Wind und etwas kühlen Temperaturen. Die zahlreichen Vogelbeobachtungen (v.a. Wasservögel/Limikolen) waren überwältigend. Singvögel waren eher wenig zu beobachten (starker Wind).
Schoon en compleet ingericht. Soepele communicatie. Meubilair brengt je enige decennia terug in de tijd maar dat is juist wel weer charmant/grappig. Bedden en sanitair prima. Ligt in dorpje aan straatzijde, daardoor geen zicht op buitengebied/landerijen.
Ein sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt am Rand des ruhigen Ortes. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich in absoluter Nähe in Den Burg, aber sind auch fußläufig noch erreichbar. Das ältere, romantisch anmutende Haus ist sehr gemütlich, insb. im Schlafbereich geräumig und komplett ausgestattet. Unsere Vermieter, die im selben Haus, aber nebenan wohnen, waren sehr freundlich.
Ein wunderschöner Ort mit einer gemütlichen kleinen Wohnung, in der es an nichts fehlte.

Perfect huisje, prima locatie (centraal op Texel). Huisje was compleet en van alle gemakken voorzien. Prettig contact gehad met de verhuurders. Aanrader!
Zeer compleet huisje, perfecte uitvalsbasis voor wandel, fiets en auto tochten over het eiland. Een aanrader voor actieve koppels of een jong gezin met kleine kinderen.
Hoewel ik al decennialang op Texel kom moest ik nu voor t eerst een onderkomen zoeken. Ik wilde niet op een park dus het werd Wantij-Texel in De Waal. Het bleek een goede gok. Corrie en Rob zijn enthousiaste en gastvrije mensen. Het kan zomaar een vervolg krijgen.
Een zeer verzorgd appartement. In de details is merkbaar dat de verhuurders jarenlang gewend zijn het gasten naar de zin te maken. Erg gastvrij en vriendelijk.
