Definitely a budget motel. On the positive side, the front end staff were helpful and considerate. Room has no coat rack, only two post hooks on the wall. Sink backed up and would not drain properly. very slow. Bthrm fan switch had a 'short', had to hold it just right, then it would squeal and sometimes take off, more often not. Surprised there was not GFCI outlet in bthrm, a standard safety feature. I booked through Expedia; because of many road miles ahead, long shot--we had thought about cancelling final night. Front end fellow did all he could to help us, I was impressed with his diligence on this. We decided to stay after all since likely not refundable after stay-contract was underway.

For a low-budget motel in a tourist area, I was amazed. Everything was fresh and clean; none of the usual wear and tear. The two staff members I encountered were both friendly and pleasant. The man who checked me in must have noted my use of a cane and some difficulty getting out of my car: he gave me the room nearest the door and a parking space right close to the door. After traveling all day in 90-100° temperatures, the room was pleasantly cool. When the temperature outside dropped, I was pleasantly surprised to find the window slid open easily, admitting cool, fresh mountain air. I plan to stay there on my return trip.

Nice cheap stay for winter trip

Clean rooms. Convenient location. The couple that manages and runs the hotel were awesome. Building is run down and in major need of renovations and more staff in the summer.

Belle Fourche Super 8 Rocks!

This is a comfortable and reliable stay. Halfway between Bozeman and Sioux Falls, Belle Fourche is a unique quaint town nestled at the foot of the black hills. Plain and simply beautiful.
