We stayed for a night to get some fishing in around shell beach. The property was clean and the deck was nice for relaxing after getting off the water.
The location of this camp was perfect across the street from the boat launch and the marina that sells shrimp and gas. Very convenient to walk out to the rocks and fish off of shore
This is the perfect camp for a group of 4 people to go fishing
My wife and I had an amazing stay! The RV has very comfortable, plenty of room and in a very short location from Campos Marina! Within walking distance! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the commercial fishermen and charter captains working. I’m a charter captain myself and we love coming to this area for a little getaway!
Really good location. Good camp. Enjoyed the deck the most. The propane bottle for the grill was missing. Neighbor had borrowed it and hadn’t returned it. Just used the one on the front of camper. No problem really
Delacroix places were all full, so I stayed here, for the first time. I'd never been to Shell Beach, and I'll be back for sure. Ended up still putting the boat in at Delacroix, but its only a 20 min drive. We finished 3rd in the tournament, so that made it a good weekend. This camper was easy to book, and extremely easy to modify/add days to the reservation, last minute. Met some great people in Shell Beach, and everyone was accommodating. The only downside is, if you're over 6ft tall, you wont be able to lay completely flat in the "master" bed. The other beds appeared to be the same length, but since its a camper, I wasnt expecting a king bed, wasnt disappointed. My only recommendation when staying here is, on day one, spend 30 minutes and go through all the cabinets to see what all supplies they already have. That may prevent a run to the store, because you may find seasoning stuffed in a bedroom cabinet, or pots/pans under the TV. Being its a camper, kitchen storage is limited, so things get put wherever there is space. Also, if you're there in the cooler months, the porch they have built is great. The listing/pictures are 100% spot on, and I will be back. Now, this is when I'm supposed to say this place is terrible, so its easier for me to book it in the future!!
Very easy process to book and great communication with the property owner. It's a nice place for two people to stay and fish. If you don't have a boat this would not be the area to stay in.
Chris was an amazing host! I appreciated our quick communications in the days leading up to our reservation and during our stay. Very tight-knit community and loved the location. Thanks again Chris!
Not a luxury spot but it’s a fishing camp with a great convenient location to the marina. The bunk room beds looked very small though we weren’t using them. Had more adult sized people joined us I don’t know how they’d fit in the beds.
A friend and I stayed at this camper for a fishing trip. Great location to launch a boat. Early morning fishing trips, followed by afternoons on the fully-covered deck watching the boats come and go. There was a food truck a very short walk away, which is a great place to have a cold beer, hang out with locals, and make new friends.
The camper itself is a typical camper. Beds are somewhat small, but it was more than adequate for our needs, and we would stay there again. It is fully covered and has a large deck with a gas grill. Most importantly, it has a coffee maker and plenty of parking room for a vehicle and boat trailer.
Looking forward to our next trip to Shell Beach.

Spoiled vacation
Not as advertised. No silverware, no coffee cups. Yard was a trash dump. Coffee maker was located under sink and full of ants. Bed bug spray was present. Neighbors said every one complained about the place. Sewer smell in the bathroom.put wash clothes over the sink and bath tub drains to block the the odor
Camper is not as advertised on VRBO. Plumbing issues which owner notified me about prior to arriving. Not a big deal. Mold on shower curtain, mattresses stained, lock was a pain to open, seating ripped, smell of mold throughout. Did not stay at the property for more than an hour...notified owner stating we would not be staying there, hoping for a refund. Gave owner ample opportunity to refund my money ( 2 months) however he decided to keep it. Hopefully he will use it towards improving the camper. I was told that it is a fishing camp and was priced accordingly...This does not mean that the camper should not be cleaned. I would suggest purchasing insurance before booking this listing.
Perfect spot, clean and relaxing place with ample parking for the boat. Stone throwing distance to the launch. Really enjoyed the easy off access and ability to come and go quickly each day with access to a few drop in spots. Thanks for a great stay Chris.
