Property
The cost includes everything. There is no extra charge for electricity, cleaning, etc. However, there are extra charges if you leave the house a mess, smoke, cause damage, etc. See Smoking and Damage & Cleaning below.
We have three bedrooms. The Master suite has two queen size beds for four people, five if someone uses the couch. It has its own bathroom, the couch and two large closets. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and a bunk bed for four people, five if two people share the bottom bunk. It has a walk-in closet. Bedroom 3 has a full size bed and a bunkbed for 3 people (4 sharing the bottom bunk) with a large closet. Bedroom 2 & 3 share a nearby bathroom. Sharing a bunk bed is a little cozy and the couch isn’t the same as a bed, so we say 11 instead of 14. We would charge $50/person for the extra three, in a Special Offer.
You have the entire first floor. My wife and I live in the basement. VRBO does not give us an option to split the first floor from the basement, thus listing it as the "entire house."
Share: Six people at $75/night is $450/night. Our pricing of $379/night and $429/week end night is under $75 for six people, but over for fewer people. We will provide a Special Offer that restricts the number of rooms available and adheres to the $75/person/night pricing if you are willing to share the unused rooms with others during your stay, rather than having exclusive use of the whole house. Two people in BR3 for $150 or 4-5 people in BR2 for $300+ for example.
Private: If you prefer exclusive/private use of the entire first floor with all three bedrooms, our Special Offer would be up to $429/night for up to six people and $75/person additional for 7-11 people. Eleven people would be $804/night for example. 14 people would be $954/night.
Unauthorized Parties: VRBO strongly discourages unauthorized parties. Unless you plan an event with us, we also do not allow unauthorized parties and would report it if you held a party that was not planned in advance with us.
Planned Events: We do hold planned events, like weddings, birthday parties, fund raising, etc. These events typically have a separate charge, depending on the size and other features. If you want to plan an event, book first, then we will plan your event with you.
We have a separate Cabin (currently no running water) and camping, which can expand our accommodations. If you plan a 50-100 person event, we will work with local motels.
Damage and Cleaning Fee: Of course, we will charge you for damage. If we must clean up behind you the minimum cleaning fee is $250.
Pets: One acceptable pet, no additional charge. Additional dogs (say 1-2) who are house trained, not a danger to others, stay off the furniture and don’t scratch the walls or furniture are welcome at a $50 extra charge. Cats with a mind of their own could be a problem unless in a cage with access to a litter box you provide. No alligators, boa constrictors or tigers. A turtle in a container, probably ok. You are responsible for any damage caused by your pet and to clean up their stool outside. Let’s talk about any other pet issues.
Smoking: Smoking (including Marijuana) is not allowed in the house or on the grounds. An accidental fire can destroy our beautiful woods. In the house smoke leaves an odor. The designated smoking area is the concrete drive behind the house Please put your extinguished butts in the brown garbage container.
Coded Phone Numbers: Please DO NOT send coded phone numbers or ask to book off VRBO. You CAN book one night and receive my phone. Then, we can talk, text, answer questions, even send a short video. If you cancel, you will receive a refund. It is best to use the message system until you are ready to book.
Guest Access
If you book the house only without scheduling an event, like a birthday party or a wedding, we limit access to the area around the Sanctuary. If you book an event we have seven event spaces to which you can have access.
Interaction With Guests
Once you book your stay, you will receive Warren's cell phone number. Call or text him any time before, during or after your stay to work out anything you need to plan or solve. Do not leave a voice message. He responds to texts and calls as quickly as possible.
For the most part you will be free to enjoy the property without interference from Warren or Pearl; however, if you schedule The Human Journey, Step by Step Financial Planning, a Murder Mystery Evening, or another event we will be actively involved in guiding that experience.
Ask for our Planning Spreadsheet and about our limited Concierge service to plan activities outside of Chimorel. We can stock your refrigerator and guide you to many activities if you want.
Other Details to Note
We offer several additional services and free services when you book $1400 or more. $379 +$350 (70x5) = $729 * 2 = $1458.
Our services include: Stocking the refrigerator ($35), a limited concierge service ($35/event scheduled) and several special activities such as The Human Journey (three act play that teaches deeper listening) for approximately six people, Step By Step Financial Planning (focusing on Career Development, Resource Management, Risk Management, Investment Strategies, and Satisfaction Planning according to your needs) and a Murder Mystery Evening. $150 to $350 each depending on the depth you choose.
A $1400 booking provides free stocking the refrigerator and two event scheduling services, plus one $150 activity at no charge. To learn more about any of these services, talk to Warren.
Check In Method
Your codes will open the front and kitchen doors. We provide the codes by phone or on arrival. The front door locks within ten seconds automatically. Please keep the front door closed and locked. The kitchen door is up a flight of stairs from the drive. You may leave the kitchen door unlocked when you are in the house. Please lock the kitchen & Master Suite doors when you are not here.
Park off the drive & big tree beside the house. Says Park Here, Easy walk up the slope to the front door. Six steps up to first floor. Or walk through patio and up 13 stairs to the kitchen / dining entrance.
