Room Mate Bruno, Rotterdam

"The hotel Room Mate Bruno was just what we were looking for. We wanted a hotel that was close to the Holland America Cruise Terminal. The hotel is literally across the street from the terminal. There was food close by in the food hall. The beds were super comfy. We would definitely stay at Room Mate Bruno if we were back in Rotterdam again!"

"The facility was unusual. It was a bit obscure to find as there were no large signs as we are used to here in the states so we almost missed it. I found it a bit unusual to have to take the elevator to the second floor to check in. The check in area was small and pretty crowded when we got there. The staff was amazing. So friendly and smiling all the time. I can't say enough about how great they all were! The breakfast was great! Very crowded but that is a great thing to see the hotel was servicing so many people. One of my biggest surprises was how small and compact the room was. It was sufficient but was very very small. The bathroom was beautiful but being on the first floor the drain did not drain very quickly. Over all I would stay there again but I would be prepared for the small room and possible business at the counter. I would like to have been able to give it 4.5 stars!"

"Wonderful location, and helpful staff. Breakfast was nourishing for a day out in Delft. The only reason I rated it 4 instead of 5 is the lack of good air circulation in the room. The beautiful, big windows didn’t open and the air felt stuffy, with a slight smell of musty cleaning product. I propped open the door and was able to air out the room and forget about it. Great hotel overall."

"Our Comfort Plus room was large and spotless. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We never checked out the amenities on the second floor. We liked that the location was near Chinatown (great food) and walkable shopping, with reasonable access to the tram system. Note that rooms at the front of the building can be a bit noisy at night due to traffic sounds. I wasn’t bothered by the sounds but my friend was."

"Rooms were clean, and adequate for 2 people and 2 medium suitcases. Beds were comfy but the air conditioning was difficult to find a comfortable setting. Sometimes it worked and others it didn't. Shower is very small and ours had an issue where water leaked out from under the door where we had to place towels to absorb the water and prevent a slippage accident. Definitely recommend getting the breakfast package. You can order from the menu and the buffet bar. Fitness center had a good assortment of machines and free weights, and the space was adequate which also included showers."

"Our room was spacious and so comfortable. We had a nice corner room. We had spent several days before in a very small, historic hotel in another town. We tripped over our luggage or furniture constantly. This room had so much space. The kettle and tea were a nice touch."
