"Sadly, Sorel is too expensive for what it is. It's obvious it used to be amazing but it's in need of a maintenance team and general refreshing. The rooms are clean but old. The hotel is seriously understaffed (one poor waiter in the restaurant) and the front desk staff is hit or miss. There are lightbulbs out all around the property and everything needs a fresh coat of paint. The daily expeditions, scenery and location of the hotel are great and why I'm giving the hotel 4 stars instead of 3. We did the Canyonlands tour, UTV tour and horseback riding. All of the staff running those activities were fantastic and are working hard. We didn't receive any services from the spa and can't speak to that. "

"This was a return visit. Again, wonderful! Ideal spot to enjoy the red rock beauty of Utah. At times, just walking room to room felt like sightseeing because the views out each window uniquely different and spectacular. Consistent with my last stay, the home was clean, comfortable, and in wonderful condition. A place you are grateful the owners rent! "
