The pretty town of Ruthin is well worth a visit, with its streets of individual shops and cafés which seem to tumble down the hill from St Peter’s Square. You can visit the once feared Ruthin Gaol (they give a warm welcome these days!) or enjoy craft and art at Ruthin Craft Centre. Take a scenic trip over the Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen, where Wales meets the world. The Llangollen Railway is also well worth a visit – take a nostalgic trip on a steam hauled train along the Dee Valley to the little town of Corwen. If it’s beaches you’re after, then you’ll find some lovely sandy ones along the North Wales coast, whilst the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, and the beautiful National Trust garden at Bodnant are easily accessible, as is picturesque Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, and also home to Zip World Fforest, an adrenaline junkie’s delight! We had an amazing 4 night stay and it was more than we could ask for.
We had an amazing 4 night stay and it was more than we could ask for. Beautiful scenery all around and stunning sunrise. Very peaceful and quiet. The host Jill was amazing and nothing was too much. From the start we walked in to a lovely warm cosy cottage with tea coffee milk and Welsh cakes. Definitely will be revisiting next year. Thank you Jill

We had a lovely time at Beech Cottage, just a pity the beautiful view is not visible when sitting on
We had a lovely time at Beech Cottage, just a pity the beautiful view is not visible when sitting on the sofa/chair indoors. View from patio is one of the best we've had. The only minor thing is that we couldn't find a shaver point in the bathroom. This may be mentioned in the notes on the booking page and if it is then we missed that bit of information. Other than that, everything we needed was provided.

Fantastic cottage, everything we needed and more. Lovely welcome from Jill, fresh flowers and lots of extras. Spotlessly clean and fabulous views over the valley and to the hills beyond. Cosy and warm, we really can't fault this property or the owners.

This is a beautiful cottage with stunning views. The lady that owns the cottage is very friendly and welcoming, she also supplied us with the essentials of tea, coffee, bread, milk and more. It is close to many beautiful places to go. We loved staying here and would come back in the future
