Pelican Beach Resort is an ideal family resort located in the heart of beautiful Destin, right on the beach. We are located directly across the street from the Big Kahuna's Waterpark. Minutes away from grocery stores, movie theater, Fishbowl Bowling alley, and shopping. Silver Sands, a large factory outlet mall is 7 miles east. Destin Commons outdoor shopping Mall is at the corner of Mid Bay Bridge and Hwy 98. It has a huge movie theater complex, Hard Rock Cafe', Bass Pro Fishing Shop, Johnnie Rockets, a beautiful outdoor setting. Several fabulous golf courses in the area. Deep sea fishing is right up the street!

Pelican Beach Resort provides (heated) indoor and outdoor pools, a wading pool for the kids, sauna, hot-tub, and steam-room. We stayed at this condo during my kiddo’s baseball tournament. It was a perfect location in relation to the fields and had everything we needed when we were not at the ball field. Will definitely look to stay here again next year!

The unit was amazing! Great views, close to everything, clean, and the owner was absolutely awesome. I’ve stayed in many different condos on the beach throughout my life, but this was one was by far the best. I highly recommend booking this unit if you get a chance. You won’t be disappointed!

Condo was clean and comfortable. Ashley was easy to get ahold of when we had an issue with the bathroom sink. She got ahold of maintenance and it was fixed that evening. I would definitely stay here again

We booked this property for a Memorial Day getaway. We have been to Destin many times and love the area. This condo was great! Clean and easy to navigate in/out. Furnishings were lovely and very comfortable. Being beachfront meant we spent many nights on the balcony listening to the waves. Would stay here again.

Heaven on the Destin beaches

My husband and I stayed at this property for a little week getaway and absolutely fell in love with it! Perfect location in town, perfect view of the beach, loved all of the amenities at this resort! Best breakfast and lunch at the onsite café and the best service at the tiki hut and on the beach! We are planning a trip back to this condo with our entire family next Summer! Thank you Ashley for being such an amazing host and so easy to work with!

The condo was amazing and perfectly as described. The host was wonderful and check in was so easy. I really appreciated the food recommendations our host sent us it made it so much easier than having to look into places. Our children appreciated the extra beach toys left and the beach umbrella. Fantastic property and owner!

This was just a short 3 day stay over the 4th for our family on the way back from Disney. The owner was fantastic and so accommodating in her communications. The property had multiple pools, a pool bar with snacks, and the beach and ocean were perfect as always. Amazing view from the balcony with everything you could need, and beach set up was available and easy to book! We will definitely be back!

We love this condo. This is our second time staying in this unit. It’s a perfect location. Very pretty condo and has everything you need. We love to sit out and watch for dolphins from the balcony. We will always stay in this unit. The host is quick to respond and very thorough from check-in to check-out.

Ashley was a great host. Our room was ready early and she allowed us to check- in way before 4. Never been able to do this anywhere else that I know of. Place was clean, kitchen stocked with all the cooking necessities. Location was great, a couple miles from HarborVillage,The Track and Big Kahunas right across the street, view was perfect from the balcony! My family and I had a great time!

Relaxing getaway

This place was perfect! The beach location is right outside your door. Pool is just below your balcony. Everything was clean and nice. We absolutely loved the list of recommendations for food options. It saved so much time for us instead of looking at other reviews and trying to find something. All of the seafood options were spot on. Highly recommend this unit. Would definitely rent this place anytime we come back in Destin.

My wife is in a wheelchair mostly. She was able to get in the pool on the beach and in the water, your condo is great bc, it’s on the fourth floor and is not overcrowded by useless furniture. Clean and accessible, we had a great visit in Destin.

Relaxing and Calming

Our stay was just what we needed. The condo was nicely decorated and the view was excellent. The owners were great. The refrigerator did not work but the owners had a mini fridge sent the next day. Whoever tried to fix the refrigerator left the door to the condo open. We noticed the door open when we walked up. Other than this, we had a great time.

Excellent vacation

The condo was as advertised though there is a new oceanfront pool that was not represented in the VRBO pictures. It is the best pool on location. There are three pools and the side pool allows for shade in case the little ones get too much sun. :-) The condo being on the fourth floor was a huge plus in elevator times. The garbage chute and laundry are very close to the condo which was wonderful. The front desk staff was very friendly and the parking was easily accessible. One of the teens with us used the gym everyday and was happy to see the individual weights to do his entire routine. The location of Pelican Beach Resort makes it easy to get to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. Overall a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

Perfect family getaway!!

From the moment we inquired about the property until the moment we left, the experience was seamless and couldn’t have gone better for us! It was clean, well-maintained, beautifully decorated, and everything that our family of 4 needed. Being on the fourth floor was perfect as we could use the stairs to easily get to the pool/beach and avoid the busy elevators when needed. The view was amazing and we were able to see dolphins in the morning as we ate breakfast on the balcony. The bunkbeds were as much of a highlight for the kids as the sand and ocean were . All beds were super comfy! Ashley makes sure to provide you with all of the information needed (in a very nicely done pdf brochure) to help you enjoy Destin to its fullest, and she answers any questions by text promptly. The property has 2 pools, and a tiki bar right by the pools and beach to grab drinks for the adults and snacks or fun virgin drinks for kids! The cafe is great to have for breakfast, lunch and buying any fun gear for the ocean (sand toys, towels, body boards, etc)! Pelican Beach was the perfect location to get anywhere we wanted within 5-10 minutes, while also having everything on site if you don’t want to go anywhere! Highly recommend!!

Summer vacation

We stayed in this unit the first week of June. The unit itself was great. It was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. We had a leak in the ceiling and the property manager assisted promptly. The only issues we had was with the building. There are no smoking signs posted everywhere but for some reason nobody follows the rules. We weren’t able to enjoy the balcony for most of the trip because the person below us was smoking most of the time. I called security 5 times or more a day and they tried but still kept happening. Why have the rules of you can’t enforce them? Better yet, why allow people to stay there if you know and see them breaking the rules? For this reason I won’t be coming back to this property. On our last night, the fire department was called and instead of the fire alarms going off to let people know to evacuate, the building staff was standing outside yelling at people to leave their rooms and stand in the parking lot. That whole situation was odd and handled very poorly. If you get lucky enough to stay there and not have someone smoking below you, I can imagine it would be a dreamy and relaxing vacation.
