Sterling Shores is currently undergoing a beautification project, which includes work on all balconies and walkways throughout the property. Renovations are taking place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We have blocked off units that are directly affected, but some guests may still experience occasional floor grinding noise and light dust as the work progresses.

Project Updates:
* Balconies ending in 01 are currently closed and expected to reopen by February 19.
* Balconies ending in 02 are currently closed and expected to reopen by February 14.
* Floors 2 and 3 are closed and scheduled to reopen by February 28.
* The penthouse (PH) floor is tentatively scheduled for resurfacing from November 26–December 4, 2026. Light construction noise and dust may be present during this time.
* Roof work is tentatively scheduled from April through July 2026. While no major disruptions are expected, the timeline may shift due to weather conditions.

Great apartment, but....

Great apartment, everything was very nice. Very clean, near the beach, swimming pool. BUT.... The apartment lacks a normal, powerful vacuum cleaner. Every day it is necessary to vacuum, because from the beach brought a lot of sand. But there is no normal vacuum cleaner. The one that is in the apartment is very weak and does not really suction. Buy a normal vacuum cleaner.

Ocean view,

This condo had just about everything we needed. The kitchen had every dish and utensil you could possibly need. Only the 2 small burners work on the stove, but that did the job. The washer and dryer look brand new and worked great. The place was fairly clean aside from the remnants of sand from the previous renter. We just added to it since there was not a broom to sweep behind ourselves. The bed in the second bedroom does not comfortably fit 2 people of average size. We gave the master bedroom to our 2 children so they did not have to be uncomfortable sharing the small bed. Needless to say, it was not a good sleep for my husband and I, in what appears to be more of an xl twin bed. The blinds in both bedrooms need replaced. They are broken and you can see in. Other than those minor issues the room itself was great. The view was amazing and it was very quiet and peaceful. Communication with Vacasa was smooth, no issues. The keyless process is the best, no worrying about dropping off keys and you check out by clicking a link on your phone. My review of the entire complex is that it needs a bit of updating. The elevators look rough and sound questionable at times. The outside bathrooms by the pool area are absolutely disgusting and only one door locks out of multiple stalls. I hope this review is helpful and that improvements are made to make it an even better stay.

Third floor view was amazing beautiful sunrise and beautiful sunsets every day. Heated pool at 90 was amazing and the hot tub was 104. My only complaint is the pots and pans they are terrible to try and get clean they need to be swapped out with good Teflon coated ones but that's it I will definitely stay at Sterling Sands again.

Wonderful Stay

The property at Sterling Shores was exactly as described. The home matched the pictures posted online and the view was beautiful. The property is a bit dated, appliances are old and weathered but this wasn’t too much of a concern. Will book again in the future. We had a great stay.

I love the location and the proximity of the shops, restaurants and attractions! Very clean and just as photos showed the unit! However I would suggest a little maintenance. The extra bath showerhead is loose and the blinds on the balcony window are loose as well.

Another Great Year in PH15

This was our 4th year in PH15. My guests and I had another wonderful experience. The unit was clean and in good condition. The kitchen had everything we needed. And we especially loved the view from the 11th floor balcony. We plan to return next year.

The unit is clean and well maintained. It looks as pictured. It sleeps 5 adults, max, assuming one adult is on the couch and two adults are willing to share a small double bed. The view is nice. I really appreciated the washer/dryer!

Great 2 bedroom and 2 bath condo

I was worried that the condo wouldn’t be clean , but it was actually very clean and no sand on my feet 🦶. We loved the view. My kids really enjoyed the heated pool as it was still too cold to swim in the non heated one. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, and kitchen things. I wish the kitchen had a salt and pepper shakers, as I started cooking and noticed it was not in the kitchen.

Another Wonderful Stay

This was my fifth stay at Sterling Shores Destin and third stay in unit PH15. Each visit has been wonderful. The unit is always clean on arrival, and everything needed except food and a bathing suit are provided.
