Great Stay
The beach was very close within walking distance. The furniture was a bit dated and dirty. It would’ve been nice to have 2 hot tubs than just 1. The days we were there it was a bit chilly especially how the shade just seemed to be over this property so the hot tub was crowded during our stay. The food was great. I love that they offered room service. It would be nice if it was all inclusive. Other than that it was good enough for us.

Quick get away
Was clean, nice location, great for a couples get away, girls get away or small family get away. Water pressure and having hot water when taking a shower was the only issue but other than that, everything was good. Great location, near everything or quick drive. Disliked how the beach was divided between the hours of morning until bout 5. Can’t enjoy the beach like normal being boxed in a square flagged as public beach only.

It was great place to stay for the price. Some issues were second bedroom was small for second person and not handicapped or senior friendly. Management was great in trying to make it work the best they could. I was very pleased with the management people. Everyone we dealt with were competent and friendly. I would recommend RealJoy Company.

Very clean and spacious condo
We enjoyed the condo. It was clean and well stocked. I loved the shower heads, currently trying to order them myself. The only downside was the master bed mattress was more firm than I like. The husband slept great on it. Also the 2nd bedroom listing shows trundles, but its been made into a king. Its very high up, so some adults may have trouble climbing up. Kids were fine with it though. Couch isnt comfortable either, but all the furniture is in good shape for a rental.

Great stay! Perfect for families!
We booked this trip for our family vacation and the property was great! The amenities are a great perk the kids loved the pool. Great beach access. Very close to everything! Walmart around the corner for last min items. The condo was beautifully decorated and very clean! The master bed was very comfortable and it was perfect for our stay. We will def recommend this host. Only thing I would request is there was no soap to wash our hands in the bathrooms and the slider door in the living room was very hard to lock- other than that what a great stay!

Great Stay!
We had a great stay at the Palms of Destin. My children loved the pool and the beach was close by. There is a local Walmart a short drive away where we were able to get all our basic needed items and food. I would recommend this property.

Our stay was perfect. The apartment was spotless, the views are incredible. A short walk to the beach is all you need to start your day. The balcony is everything!!! You can listen to the nightly live music till 10 pm right from the balcony. I am planning ti stay here again. We loved our stay !

Wonderful Property
We had a great trip out in Destin! The unit was very accurate to the pictures, clean, and well maintained. The beach was right across the street, we saw some people even walking to the beach. Check-in was a bit difficult. Upon arrival, no one was at the front desk for about 25-30 minutes. I was able to access the unit due to the instructions sent to my email, however the path to get to our tower was a bit of a hassle for luggage/groceries. I own a 7 foot tall truck, so the property manager gave me an oversized vehicle parking pass. There were 3 spots reserved for oversized vehicles in the front of the complex. I’m glad they accommodated this due to my truck not fitting in their parking garage. The location could not have been any better. Plenty of shops and grocery stores nearby. We visited the harbor walk about 3-4 times during our stay which was about a 10 minute drive down the street. The unit was very clean and was all we needed for the stay. The balcony is a great addition! Thank you for sharing your home with us allowing for a fantastic little getaway at the beach. We look forward to coming back soon. Love from Dallas, Texas!

Great Rental, Resort was Lacking
This rental is wonderful! The space, the furnishings, the management - all wonderful. An easy shuttle ride or walk to the beach and close to several restaurants, the property was perfect for us. And having the onsite washer/dryer was welcome, as we were on a long road trip. The problem is with the Resort - The Palms of Destin. We visited in May and it could have been that - because it wasn't high season - services you would normally expect at a resort didn't exist. There was no valet. We parked our own car, then slogged all our own suitcases, coolers, groceries, etc. on cheap roller caddies up to the 11th floor. We were on a long road trip, and our car was packed to the brim. Bonus - there are no automatic door openers on any of the doors - you know, the ADAA kind that will hold themselves open. It was difficult (to say the least) dragging two cheap roller caddies full of our stuff through doors that were determined to close on us. There was no concierge. We wanted to go to the beach, but couldn't find the shuttle driver. The front desk guy told me, "That pamphlet there, it has his number, you can call him." Um, I'm on my way to the beach...I don't have my phone...how 'bout YOU call him? Once at the beach, we only had use of the public beach - a narrow strip on an otherwise huge beach. Go early. There was no poolside service (waiters happy to bring you overpriced drinks). The pool area was great: clean, well-kept, and not too crowded. But take your own towels.

Smooth process, great condo
The condo was great. It was clean, it had everything we needed, and I loved the beachy decor. I would stay again, but during a warmer month. We went in late March and the large lagoon pool isn’t heated and it was too cold to swim in so the tiny heated pool and hot tub were always packed. I liked that this resort was full of families - no unruly Spring Breakers in sight. :)

We had a great time staying at The Palms. The building was clean. The condo was also clean and well equipped, we were provided with lot's of towels too. It is not next to the beach but they have a bus that will take you and pick you up but we liked the walk and it wasn't too far only about 8minutes.

Reserving this property was a breeze, however check in was a little stressful as the front desk didn’t seem to know how to give us access to the apartment. The beach was amazing! We had to drive there and pay for entrance and fir chairs and an umbrella BUT totally worth it! I wish there was more to eat on site only because we had our 1 year old and the waiting list to eat dinner anywhere on Destin was 1 1/2 unless we went before 5. The condo was great, could use updating pans, toaster not working and the handle to the stove was broken but still fully functional. Overall great. Lots of towels, quick response from office when needed!

Pool is the best part
The Bad: This unit and property need a thorough cleaning. The carpeting in all areas of the unit (and property) are very stained. The cleaning fee you are charged is outrageous and not reflected in the cleanliness of the room. Unit and property have a musty/ humid smell to them. There was a lot of mold in the stand up shower. Dishwasher did not work. Linens had hair on them. Garbage cans throughout the property were spilling over with trash. Beach towels are not provided so you have to pack those. Also, pool is open until 11. If you want crazy loud music blasting through your room until 11:45 some nights, then stay in a room facing the pool. I attempted to email about the noise and never received a response. $14 plastic cup bar margaritas. The Good: Location, had a parking garage, and pool seemed to be well-maintained. IF unit and property were properly cleaned and carpets removed/ replaced, we would consider staying again. Our 5 year old LOVED the pool. If no pool, 2 stars.

The condo's carpeting has been cleaned and The Palms of Destin's carpeting is cleaned on a regular basis. The complex is also looking into replacing the carpets as well. We were made aware that the dishwasher was not working on the 17th. It is now working. We would have been more than happy to try and resolve any issues that you have mentioned had we been made aware during your stay. Although we completely understand your frustration regarding when the pool is open, the full garbage cans, and the price for drinks, we unfortunately have no control over such issues at any resort property. We will forward your message to property managers so that they may make sure that these condo issues have been resolved. Thank you for your patience and for choosing Real Joy.

Beautiful property away from home
Enjoyed our stay at this property. Very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay here. Nice size TV in livingroom and plenty of fun games to play with the family, movies, books to read, etc. Perfectly located in the heart of Destin near all the restaurants and fun. The unit could use an updated sofa it was uncomfortable and we had a minor issue with a buner on the stove not working but contacted management and they offered to fix it right away. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to friends.

A really great experience, even for my little sister in a wheel chair. Henderson beach offers free beach chairs that are easy to get through the sand which was so helpful. It was very easy for her to get around the grounds which was our main concern. Beautiful room with a beautiful view...

Summer Rental
I will break it down into a few categories. 1. Overall layout and space of room - Not ideal for 3 kids and 2 adults. Trundle bed pulled out in a very very small room that also had laundry in closet. Carpet on floor is not ideal, could tell it had been wet many times over from beach/pool time. 2. Location- Obviously not directly on the beach but directly across the street from crowded public beach. Recommend going to Henderson State Park for more space for $6 per day to park. Only 1/3 of a mile to the East 3. Amenities around the resort - Very nice lagoon pool along with small heated pool and large hot tub. Also splash pad for really little ones. Outdoor bar/restaurant with activities such as basketball and few games for the kids. Food at the pool restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. GET THE HAMBURGER at least once! Overall about 3 stars just due to the small living quarters for 5 of us and could do without carpet in the condo as well

Destin Condo Get Away
This was our first time using Vrbo and getting a condo instead of a hotel for our annual family trip and it was the best family trip yet. We enjoyed every aspect of it. Great location, great amenities, and the resort is surrounded by great food options!

Overall the experience was very good and j was pleased with the property and the stay. The unit was as listed, very clean and the location was good. I have no complaints at all!
