With the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, traveling now comes with greater challenges. Take a look at these valuable tips before boarding your flight to Abruzzo:
- Investigate the restrictions and rules in both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you book your flight.
- Wear a face mask during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to lower your mask temporarily for identification purposes.
- Do not hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up for the agent to visually inspect it.
- One liquid hand sanitizer container is now permitted in your carry-on luggage. It must not be larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you’ll need to remove it from your bag at the X-ray machine for scanning.
- Empty everything from your pocket, like your wallet, coins and keys, and place them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
- Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA agent will need to open your bag for inspection.
