"Great hotel within easy walking distance of Old Quarter and French Quarter attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good variety of hotel dining and drinking options. My only suggestion for improvement: heat up the jaccuzi."

"The rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a good mix of Western and Asian selections. The location in the old quarter is perfect. Everything is within walking distance. (5 to 20 minutes). The weekend market is just 5 minutes aways. We had a good time, and will book again if we visit Hanoi. "

"“a beautiful boutique hotel experience!” Loved the unique design and warm, intimate service. One of the best breakfast experiences. Prime location near shops, cafés, and restaurants, and just steps from the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre. We enjoyed early morning walks around Hoan Kiem Lake watching locals exercise, as well as late-night strolls exploring interesting shops and tasting local food. Very comfortable bed. We truly enjoyed our five-day stay at the L'HOTEL du LAC Hanoi!"

"We had a perfect stay at Hanoi Royal Palace hotel. All stuff people are very polite and willing to help a lot. We've interacted mostly with Jimmi and he was very supportive with all our needs, from recommendation of what to see and transportation bookings. Perfect location, near to lots of places were to eat very good and sightseeings. Rooms are cleaned every day. We strongly recommend this hotel! "

"Hotel Solis. I booked this hotel based on its excellent reviews on Expedia, and it exceeded my expectations. Shortly after my booking, the staff contacted me and helped me arrange transfer to and from the airport. My room was a suite with a lovely sitting area and an outside balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. They have a desk in the lobby to assist their guests with booking local tours and other activities. I did not use it—I generally free-lance when I travel, but I saw many others using it and it is nice to have. They also had spa services, which seemed to be popular, but we did not use those either-our focus was on exploring Hanoi. On check out day, we headed down to the lobby, and as I was signing the credit card receipt, housekeeping called the front desk and told them that we had left a plug adapter in the room, which they brought to us a minute or two later. I have never had a hotel check my room for forgotten items before, and I really appreciated this extra touch. The hotel also has a nice rooftop pool and an excellent rooftop bar. On this same trip to Southeast Asia, I stated at other hotels that I booked through the Marriott reservation system and other booking sites. Hotel Solis was my favorite of them all. Highly recommended. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Champton Hanoi Hotel — the location in the heart of the Old Quarter was perfect for walking to Hoan Kiem Lake, Train Street and local food spots, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and made check-in and check-out smooth. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and we especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet with lots of fresh options. The rooftop pool and bar with city views was a great bonus after a day of exploring. Overall it felt like excellent value for the quality, service, and amenities — highly recommend for anyone visiting Hanoi!"

"It was easy to book transfer from airport since we were getting there late. The hotel is in a small alley, and they guide us in from our taxi. The instruction were very clear. The room was good with a small balcony, letting the light goes in the room. Beer was cold and cheap. The breakfast was in another building very close. You can order eggs or soup. Overall very good for Hanoi. The hotel is not in the old quarters but I found this to be a better place since the alley around are very nice."
