"Words cannot convey how beautiful both Murakami and the family who own this apartment are!!! Communication before arrival was prompt and Taiko even dropped any plans to pick me up at the local station saving me money on further transport. Over the 2 week period i stayed here this family made sure i was fed and clothes were cleaned, inviting friends and family around for both food and Karaoke has been hospitality i never knew was possible. "以前一泊だけしたのですが、とても良かったのでリピートさせていただきました。注意点？としてはガレージは軽自動車専用(入れたらシャッターしまらない)なのでちょっとだけ離れたパーキングにとめる必要があるかなと。コンビニなどはちょっと歩かないとない。くらいで、特に不便とかはなく(家電はほぼ揃ってるし、カトラリーもある)むしろ快適でした。また機会があれば利用させていただきたいです(*^^*)"

"Convenient location (right next to train station), although could be challenging if you have lots of luggages or need elevator/escalator. The most direct way to hotel elevator required negotiating two short flights of stairs. Otherwise, great hotel. Appreciated the thick window shade to block out heat and light. "

"Proper old-school 80's elegance and luxury. The lobby has chandeliers and a Bell Captain's desk, and a whisky bar upstairs. The room had a writing desk with printed stationery, a built-in international plug socket and cabled internet, a nightstand with a built-in radio and a pen and notepad by the phone, and a bathroom with a phone and a bottle opener attached to the wall. Even the cleaning staff wore the maid outfits with the cute little bonnets. Live the glory days at Okura Niigata."

"We decided to walk to the hotel from Niigata Station, not realizing it was about to rain. It was a downpour by the time we got to the lobby, but one of the staff saw us coming and met us with dry towels at the door! It was so thoughtful! And that was just the start of great service. We loved our stay and will definitely come again!"

"Good hotel room for the price. The lobby is on the 4th floor so it was a little difficult to find at first. I was able to check my luggage before the check-in time. The breakfast was quite crowded but they let us take the food up to our rooms so it was fine. It was a decent sized room right next to the station. There are lots of food options nearby as well."

"Absolutely wonderful experience inside the hotel. Very new and clean rooms with excellent views. Terrific breakfast. The hotel’s only small downside is that it is slightly isolated - very convenient to the convention center next door, but not much else. I would absolutely stay here again if visiting Niigata. "
