"We spent the weekend at Mammoth Caves (about 25-30 mins away) and this was the perfect spot for us to spend our nights. The host made check-in and check-out a breeze and everything we needed to be comfortable was there.One thing differs from the pictures is they have now installed a full sized stove/oven to replace the hotplate and toaster oven. "We had a great stay, the shack on shortcut is a very cute and cozy place. This is on the owners property and a working farm. Neither bothered us but just a heads up. I also did not realize from the photos that the living area and recreation area are separate rooms which was nice. The bathroom is in the rec room with a step up into it. We were able to enjoy quiet evenings playing games and watching movies. We also spent time in the rec room and at the fire pit. If we are in the area again we...

"This place was perfect for our few days in Kentucky! It was clean, beautiful and the perfect location for us as we scheduled cave tours at Mammouth Cave National Park. Owner checked in to be sure everything was going ok and even let us know the night a mama goat had her babies so we could see them! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!"

"Property is exactly as described - charming little place with an exquisitely comfy bed, a small shower stall in the bathroom, and a little kitchenette. We didn’t spend a lot of time there since we were in town specifically for a festival at Barren River Magic, but it suited our needs perfectly. We would definitely stay there again, and would hopefully get to see the cows next time!"
