"The Hotel is very large in size and the staff were very pleasant and helpful organising a driver to take us out of the area to visit all the places of interest we would not see otherwise. Kurunegela itself is not geared up for tourism and is more your local town. So there is a need to travel out. The Hotel is tired with the decor and carpets needing to be replaced and an overall update required. The restaurant choices are limited and overall the Hotel and the area does not cater for europeans"

"Es war einfach phantastisch, äusserst gepflegte Anlage mit grossem Garten, vielen Palmen und Bäume mit grossem infinity Pool. Das Haus ist ein Schmuckstück der Extraklasse, der Service zuvorkommend und freundlich und das Essen gut. "We had 2 rooms: one smelled terrible. Both beds were comfortable when you laid on them; one had bed bugs which we didnt sleep on. Room 104 smelled terrible, even after the staff "cleaned" the room again. When we complained to the manager, he said he didnt smell anything wrong. The hotel agreed to change our rooms the, then changed their minds, then gave me the key after I insisted they do so (long protracted argument) . Room 103 was ok, but staff and drivers were outside the window below...

"Amazing hotel. Staff so lovely and helpful, grounds beautiful, fantastic pool and pool area. This was a short stay, arriving in the afternoon for a flight the next morning but could have stayed here much longer. So peaceful, really unlike any airport transit hotel I have ever stayed in. We only had dinner and all had different things but all were delicious. Free transfer to the airport in the morning was exactly at the agreed time. Thank you very much for a perfect last night in Sri Lanka."

My room was wonderful and I had dinner and breakfast served on my personal veranda. The bar next to the pool was welcoming and the pool itself was delightful. This hotel is a real oasis of luxury. "

"The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We weren’t able to get the airport shuttle, but just did an uber for about $6 USD. The next day we took their Tuk Tuk back to airport, and that was really fun for under $2 USD. It was absolutely worth it to get out of the airport for that night, and have a bed and a warm shower before our next flight. The bottle waters were greatly appreciated. For the low price, it exceeded our expectations. The best part was the friendly thoughtful employees. "
